That December 90 game against Kansas brings back memories. I was in the 6th grade. I remember it was a Saturday night tip and my parents were at some Christmas Party. According to my Mom the old man was so worked up he disappeared at the party and he stayed in the car for 2 hours listening to Cawood make the call on 840. She wasn’t amused. I don’t think he cared.

I was babysitting my sisters. They stayed upstairs and I had the living room to myself. Crushed some cheese pizza from Gatti’s got hopped on a 2 liter of Coca Cola Classic and turned up the tv as loud as that piece of shit back then would go.

What a damn crowd at Rupp. You could feel the energy come through the tv. Sean Woods was great that night against Adonis Jordan. A freshmen Mash. The excitement around Pitino.

Don’t like being “I was there” guy, but . . . .

* Company told us Monday that we will not be returning to the office until June 1st, at the earliest  I've built a solid home office routine but when the dust settles, that'll be 15+ months without seeing colleagues. Most are loathsome but the occasional water cooler conversation and change of scenery helps pass the general malaise of the day.

So now planning on getting the eff out of the imminent Kentucky gray winter hellhole and working the majority of January from Naples. Really stretch my legs with this "work anywhere" concept we now live in.

* If Die Hard can count as a Christmas movie than bye-god Trading Places passes the test as well. Better repeat viewing enjoyment as well.

* Back in March when the Dow was in the midst of a 35% drop, some folks predicted the DJIA would end '20 higher than it started 👀

* Sunday @ 5:00 is about the oddest time for a non-tourney tip I can think of. If we can't get right on the Yellowjackets then this place is going to go into full meltdown mode and rightfully so.

* Not sure what to think of Saturday night's tilt other than I want to see Gran & Stoops leave it all on the field. Sure play Terry for a series and give him his senior day then move on the Gatewood and Allen. Play your future guys and let them get some solid reps in before the offseason and bag the timid-as-a-mouse calls.

* For as Charmin soft as most Millennials are, the young offspring of GYERO that I've met (GenAlpha) seems to be the backstop to that bullshit and are clearly cut from their parents cloth.

Unfortunately like GenX is dwarfed by the Boomers, the Millennials / GenZ combo will drown them out, so no doubt they'll turn inward and create their own version of the '80's with designer drugs and self-absorption, right when I'm hitting retirement. Can't. Wait.

- Now would be a good time for a ‘73 Uk basketball nostalgia post.

- Thing no one tells you about getting old (but I will cause I’m a real one) are the lat cramps wiping your azz after a morning dump.

- Still not watching that Georgia Tech game.

I'm watching the GT game with the highest level of attention. Hopefully they don't do us like Halston Lane and Tony Akins did us that one year.

I have nothing better to do on a Sun at 5 pm but drink alcohol, wait to eat unhealthy and tune the ass-crease in the recliner.

The Crown was a nice binge over a few weeks. I hadn't seen an episode- mostly bc my wife loved it for years and generally everything she likes- sucks... but once i tuned in it was good. Nice scenes from "Lexington" in there as well.

Also, the IRA weren't *completely* wrong (obviously excluding the innocent bystander children). /Irish Catholic

The crazy thing is, if PJ Washington had made 1 or 2 more FTs in back-to-back years or if UNC hadn't made a last second shot to beat us, would Cal's system even be questioned right now?
Or if Nigel Hayes' putback was reviewable for a shot clock violation.

What if Brandon Knight hits a couple more 3FGAs against UConn, instead of going 3-11.

Or what if we don't go 4-32 against WVU?

What if...

I know we’re a results-only program but it’s just a testament at how well Calipari has positioned us in March.

I have no intention of missing the Ga Tech game. I might turn it off before its over, but I plan to watch every UK game.

Got a stage 5 clinger in the 'other' covid thread

Speaking of clingers, an employee had an ex that they had to get an EPO on this week. I've got no use for people like that. Move on and be an adult.

Blue Door for lunch, that brisket is 💯

The best time of year to catch big fish is just starting. I love some foul weather outdoorsing.

Maui Invitational brought to you by camping World, Harrah's Reservation Casino , and Asheville, North Carolina has been great background noise while working this week. Football yesterday afternoon was a great surprise too.

I love listening to other accents. British, cajun, canuck, yankee... but I think hillbilly is my favorite.

Thing I don't get about Boston is he gets a step and absoluely YACKS on some bum and then the next drive to the basket he gets on a break turns into this ridiculous attempt at a euro step and he dickfingers the ball away for a turnover when he could've just gone up strong but he might've got knocked to the floor.

He also looks like he has never lifted a weight in his life.

----> I'm not real high on Cal but I don't know how you coach that nonsense other than hoot and holler

Knight NCAAT:

Princeton: 1-8 (1-7)
West Virginia: 9-20 (6-12)
Ohio St: 3-10 (2-4)
UNC: 7-18 (2-7)
UConn: 6-23 (3-12)

And people legit put him at PG on all-time Cal UK rosters and 'remember' him dominating the NCAAT. Lmao.

He deserves his place in UK lore for the OSU shot, but he's also the most inaccurately remembered elite player of the Cal era b/c of it.

He also had zero personality on the court or off. Grateful that he ended the final four streak, but what an incredibly forgettable (yet great) player.

Seriously- the whole downstairs gang would have LOVED to have served Mary a steaming plate of doo doo at a dinner one night and watched her eat it.

I read this morning the Auburn team was inside the 30 and downed the ball on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd down from the shotgun losing like 20 yards and causing them to punt and then got 2 PI calls to set up the winning field goal.

Unreal.
