- I don't give a rats whisker about this NBA draft because - HOT TAKE ALERT - I'm not sure there is one guy in there who will be in the league in 5 years. Very underwhelming selection of talent, most of which aren't even ready to contribute anything of value at this point.

Lol, compared to when? Better stick with High School & waving.

OK, then. Since none of you will go out on a limb and name an “All-Star”, name one immediate impact player in this draft.

Oh, and stick it up y’all’s ass since you’re so obsessed with sticking.

The 2013 draft might be the most butt draft off all time, only in competition with 2000, and that class produced two All-Stars and an all-NBA defensive player. But this one might not even produce a single person who lasts longer than 5 years...

-Last minute trip to Vegas last weekend, always a good thing. 6th trip, but never been in true summer/pool season, that scene is just of no interest to me. Really missed the lack of SportsBook vibe that Basketball and especially Football bring, but all wasn't lost w/ the Open and WC. Only spent a few hours out poolside, but luckily that didn't take away much from the scenery, as all the hoes just walk up and down the strip, casinos, etc in their bikinis. What a place.

Comped suite at Harrah's, my favorite location on the strip. Valley Tower is newly renovated, and the room itself was actually as nice as any other nicer property I've stayed in out there. Did most of my gambling at TI during the day, and Cromwell at night -- the two places w/ the best rules on the strip at $10-15. (3:2, S17, DaS, Surrender). Never ceases to amaze me to see all the other 6:5 tables (which is 98% of strip tables) packed in every casino...that's just a terrible game.

Cromwell is easily my favorite Casino there though, what a classy little place. Good music, nice dealers, great vibe. Pusha T and 2 Chainz strolling through on the weekend. Spent my last night downtown, another tradition -- ran into GOT EEEEM #DeezNuts guy, complete weirdo. Never said a word. Love it down there, that's some true gambling.

No epic dinners, but YardBird chicken biscuits are :fire:. Also got my usual order of Stone Crabs at Joe's, worship. Rest were timely snacks.

-Ayton is a stud and future star imo, but annoyed by all these people acting like he's an unprecedented prospect. Do they forget Anthony Davis, or even Karl Towns? Not the same player, but the adjectives they use to describe him basically are. He's a rare talent for sure, but let's not get carried away.

BBdK Big Board Top 10:

Ayton
Bagley
Doncic
Porter
Jackson
Carter
Bamba
Young
Knox
Miles Bridges

Sleepers: Aaron Holiday, Kyrhi Thomas, Mo Wagner

-My club sniped the Asst Pro from Hunting Creek (D. Huffman), where the Am is currently being played. Dude is a stud from all accounts, and the membership out there is pissed about losing him - was in line for the head gig, and soon. South End roots, young alpha type, exactly what we needed. Already bringing in 10 or so ringers with him, and loves organizing money games and inviting people from all over, which means our Invitational and other tourneys should be back in top form soon. (Leggo, Fields)

-Member Guest Szn, with several this weekend (Big Spring, Oxmoor, Woodhaven, Ours). Maybe the truest Club Pro Guy Learning Center video of them all.

:100points::100points::100points:

There can't be an event in sport at any level with more rabid cheating than a Member Guest. Lot of $$$ at stake too, but they're so fun it's worth it.

-Chad being a bourbon ball is still taking some getting used to. Never saw him drink anything but a Miller Lite or LunchBox shot the first 10 years I knew him.

-Go Argentina, easily the best unis in the soccer.

Did Chad leave and Huffman get the head pro job? Where did Chad go?

I loved playing the Invitational the couple times I did. Tell the new pro to move it off of that second weekend in July date where it conflicts with the Lex City, and I'll play every damn year. Not a hard sell for my wife for me to play in that tourney when she grew up at that pool and her parents live 10 minutes away.

Cardinal Club, our former GM is out there. I like Chad, but he isn't exactly the social/promoting type, which is what a little club like us needs. He'd been there 8 years, was getting stagnant. Doubt the Lex City factors into anything we do, nor should it. I'll get you up for a 2man sometime, or something.

-Pumped about Doncic as well, kid has a crazy feel for the game.

I mean...in year 11 of his career Swaggy P played meaningful minutes for the world champions during the Finals. I think a couple of these jabronis can kick around until 2023.

-Swaggy P is also lobbying for Coke to be legal.

Brokeback Rob doesn't even know where the 1st Tee is at his club, doubt he knows any of the golf staff. I do know they don't like their Head Pro out there.

Buddy of mine goes to HCCC, so I've played there quite a bit, already 4 times this year. If you snagged the guy I'm thinking of, he's sharp - seemed like one of the most on-the-ball pro shop guys I've ever met.

Pretty much. He spent his first 10 years working under Kevin Greenwell out at Seneca, who is as good as it gets in this state. He'll bolt us for there if/when that comes open...

-I know Bamba isn't Noel, but that's who I keep wanting to think of when I think about his potential in the 2018+ NBA. He's a super bright kid though, and seems to be developing offensively at a nice clip.

I think it's pretty stupid you can't have a 'shared' Prime account w/ separate logins under the same account. Makes no sense to me at all, as I assume 75% of their customers are marrieds. Obviously they'd have to verify you were married or of the same household to avoid people gaming the system, but that's not difficult.
