Rushing the field pregame talk is akin to apocalypse predictions; neither are going to happen when you're looking for it.

UK has never had a field rush when you were remotely expecting it: Bama (Couch to Yeast), LSU (No. 1 team in America), UT (with a WR playing QB), UofL (Stevie gettin' loose), South Carolina (finally beating Spurrier with Jojo running 77x in a half).

Every other time it was mentioned: 0-fer

Nice Lil Break Randos

-7 days in Aruba, which was just perfect as always. Seems over time everyone has their "spot" when it comes to a beachy vacation, that's ours. Outside (way outside) of the hurricane belt, never rains, friendly/safe, awesome food...and Casinos for dad. About all we need.

Aruba's our favorite, too. Much easier to get to than Hawaii, absolute perfect weather that never varies, great food and nightlife all within walking distance for the most part.

Agree for the most part but I think most of us felt UK was going to win the Stevie got loose game. There was talk about rushing the field before that one.

Not sure what the statutory age limit is for jinxes but I would have been good with not pleading for a sellout, not announcing a "blue out" and generally just expecting to lose. Would have felt much better about the game this way.

Yeah wasn't that the year UofL got hashed by middle TN or someone the week before? Signs were there, folks.

That might be revisionist history. That was Kragthorpe's first year, right? Louisville was legitimately terrifying under Petrino and the propaganda from Floyd Street was that Kragthorpe was going to be more of the same.

Brooks' tenure to that point hadn't exactly been awesome, either.

I remember being concerned before the game and expecting us to lose.

Correct Max.

It has been 10 years ago :)cry::flushed:) Hank but pretty sure we felt like UK had a great chance at home There was a lot of momentum coming off of 2006. Regardless, I do recall there were rush the field conversations.

Marty Moore "gets it."

“I don’t want the fans to get so hyped up about us beating them [this year], because that’s what seems to happen at Kentucky. All the fans think we got a chance, that team gets pumped up, and then they come in here and beat the brakes off of us. So we’re 3-0, we’re feeling pretty good about us. I don’t want these players, these fans, and I certainly don’t want Florida players to get this big aura that they gotta get up for the game. I would rather downplay the hell out of this game and give Kentucky a chance and not let the guys from Florida come up here pumped up and ready to go.”

- I, like all GYEROmen, hate everything about Chase...but he's had a good day so far.

- As much as I denigrate the female sports fan, Heather Dinich is pretty damn solid when it comes to CFB. Enjoy her on pod.

- There are many things that irritate me about the wedding/marriage/soulmurdering that's coming in my life, but the hashtag has to be near the top. Don't get me started on the F'ing hashtag...of which we just have to have.

- Can't compete with YungSAE but gave a 5th grade speech on NCAA recruiting scandals, wrote my 8th grade epic Illiad style poem on UK-Duke '92 and based my junior year research paper on one Adolph Rupp, citing old Russell Rice CatPaw columns roughly 200x. I can footnote like a sonofabitch.

- Aruba isn't good enough for the wccs, apparently.

- out.

The Rax's go-to beach destination is destin Florida baby. Nice little fishing community down on the panhandle. Lots of nice food junts as well. Grouper is huge down there. Locals all go to a spot called "fudpuckers". Try the fried gator tale

The Game Bar hats are the goat, imo. Found a deal where you can get like 12 custom made caps for like $200. Thought about getting them for the guys at work for Christmas but I think they'd much rather have the $50 wal mart gift card. Wild ass hooligans.

Speaking of wild ass hooligans, the bad boys theme song would be a really cool 3rd down tradition. Too bad that never took off. That intro SHOULD whip any crowd into a frenzy. But, we got a coal whistle. And that's fine.

You know what I'm beyond sick of? The phrase beyond. Can we stop being so damn loosey-goosed with it? Good lord. We got it, you're BEYOND ready for Friday, Sarah. I'll write that down. Thanks

This whole Mexican restaurant thing is just really making my blood boil for a variety of reasons, the most selfish is of course my dinner is all f*cked up. I'm usually in a steady rotation of canes/Mexican 3-4 nights a week and last night I just drove around town aimlessly looking for ANYTHING worth a damn to eat. Maybe this will help me finally get my grotesque body back in shape.

I know I caused a big ole stir in 2007 before that UofL game at the cc...$100 to all takers...UK wins...I don't want your stupid points.

Made a cool $500 and earned a lot of swag points. Memories for a lifetime.

I went to Myrtle beach last year for the first time and it was awful. Like, it was almost dangerous. Do not recommend.

- Had custom The Game bar hats made for our annual golf tourney. Big hit.

- My journalism career peaked when I announced the death of Hank Gathers on our monthly elementary school news broadcast... just after I read the entire basketball Top 25 to all of our 7th grade viewers. Riveting television.

My golf swing has come light years this year.

Never had a lesson (didn't think I was consistent enough for it to do any good) but I'm striking the ball better than I ever have.

I still don't even own a driver (5 wood off the tee) but the entire swing just seems to have slowed down. Most of it has to do with clearing my mind, and concentrating on one thing in the back swing, one on the down, and just maximizing the whip. IOW, translating down force into power. That's the best way I can describe it with my golf novice brain.
