Enjoying my Down Home barrel pick, thanks Krazy!

Was it as you remembered? Another groups barrel turned during that cold spell a week or 2back, and since we were awaiting the new style bottles for them specifically we didn’t dump immediately. What game that can be.

Welp, F SeaWorld. Guess we will try again this summer one day. But right after the riff raff get their stimulus is not the time to be there.

One of my best friends, a guy that I used to watch every game with, has a 16 year old kid that grew up watching UK games with us. He has no idea what UK Basketball was before Wall/Cousins/Bledsoe/Knight/Davis/MKG/Karl & the One&Done Era. This shit seems perfectly normal to him, no matter how much we try to explain the “good ole days”. Long way of saying that I will believe in those whole transfer “transformation” when I see it.

I read this post like five times trying to understand how comment A (your friend has a kid that is 16 that doesn't remember events before he was born) somehow leads to conclusion B (that Calipari won't go all-in on transfers).

I truly racked my brain and thought, "there has to be something I am not understanding....how does a kid only knowing the Calipari style of basketball mean Calipari himself might not change his style?" I really spent a lot of time on it

And then I realized it would be the equivalent of saying, "My son doesn't remember any time when there wasn't a Canes in Lexington so I will believe Canes is changing their French fries when I see it."

Props on keeping me engaged however

So future plan:

Recruit Best of the Best HS Seniors...
Recruit 3 star college seniors that aren't good enough for NBA...

LOL, why not

The kid was 5, give or take, at the very beginning of the Cal Era. He has only known players being here for a year before bolting for the pros or leaving for other reasons. It’s all he knows. But, yes, he has already decided for himself that Cal is willing to change. After all, he was pretty excited to see the changes Cal was going to make after watching the NBA Bubble. Now he is stoked to see what Cal will do with the transfer portal. Either way, he is used to only seeing players here for a year, Boomer.

It's stupid to ever get into a "fair fight"

If I'm pressed into fighting, with no way to get out of it, meaning, I'm getting a beating if I don't fight back, I'm not gonna square up and go all John L. Sullivan.. I'm going to find something to throw in his face and something to brain him with (a mug of beer perhaps. Toss the beer in his eyes and during the flinch, crack his forehead open with the now empty mug) And I'm not stopping until I CAN get away, because THAT is the entire point.

None of that would probably work, but it has a better chance than me squaring up and straight up brawling.

I find it absolutely insane the fact UK fans bitch about turnover and lacking true veterans we connect with yet at the same time are so cavalier when we lose transfers.

“Askew sucks - GTFO!”
“I wasn’t impressed with Brooks much anyway. Wouldn’t mind if he just moved on.”

It’s such a F’ing stupid mentality that I lose my mind.

What I’m saying is we better not lose Brooks.

I'm second only to Anth as being down-the-middle in here, so I'm aware this statement may come as a shock to some but the sooner the Brits do away with the royal family the better. It's 2021 and the Queen has as much power there as the Kardashians. In fact, that's essentially the equivalent - if we started glorifying those wackos and propped them up on a pedestal for no inherent reason I question the sanity of our elected leaders.

Wait, this just in, I'm being told that's already happening here. WTF?

Whatever, just give them a plot of land on the tip of Whales and let them live out their days inbreeding until their hearts content.

-There was a dude in one of those bourbon Facebook groups selling a gorgeous pub style bar for a long time. I wanted that sucker soooooo bad but have no where to put it. Post pics when complete. Would love a dimmly lit basement bar with tons of stained wood, dark bar top, decorative carved posts. Man. If it comes with the Irish Pub smell, even better. Sports bars with an open concept are fine but I still prefer a dark dingy pub all/air.

-Rose needs to slip up early, I'm not interested in a run-a-way winner this year.

-Big time tee-ball games start this weekend. Few key players missed practice this week so we're going hard tomorrow. Blue Jay jersey upgrades are SHARP. Blue high socks(don't even try with the pant legs all the way down, terrible look), crisp white pants, blue belt, blue top, blue hat. You pay attention, Mitch? That's how it's done. Upgraded my lid to a New Era fitted version and a couple Nike Dry Fit Ts. LFG

-Leather work is not in my future. F*ck that. What a pain in the ass. 8 Knife sheaths and I'm regretting even starting them.

-While probably not advisable, adding pizza as a side item for your daily steak is a statement. Not one I'm wiling to make, but it's bold. Having a last meal everyday is going 360.

-What event sets the world back on track? Olympics have a pretty good chance and I trust Japan to do it right. All the Keeneland pictures are helping. Derby may do it for me.

-On the hunt for an OF117. Probably pay 2ndary for it. I'm just a sucker for anything OF.

-The Lee Elder stuff has been amazing. What a great dude and deserving of the honor.

-I thought the internet humor mocking Prince Phillip's physical appearance was distasteful at best, inhumane at worst. He was F'n 99 years old. Was a decent man, husband, father. Did a lot of good with his resources. It just seemed cruel to me.

I like a lot of dark humor that would easily offend people, so it's whatever. In turn I'll just derive some laughs at the young people believing that's never going to be them.

-I shared a black square on insta not out of some belief it would end racism, but thought I'd show some solidarity with my fellow Americans that were, at least from my perspective, understandably hurting.

I really gave it some thought at the time and that's where I arrived on the matter. Not embarrassed about it, but if CRITTENDENWILDCAT69 wants to take umbrage with it, then be my F'n guest and tough shit, Jethro.

I have to give eastern LL (and most all lexington leagues) credit for their uniforms. Always crisp. Jessamine county usually just gets the drift shirts, but Lexington gets full button downs or vneck throwbacks. Super jelly.

Our league starts tomorrow as well so naturally the good lord is blessing central Kentucky with potential flooding. Can’t have nothin.

Haven’t had hardly a drop of alcohol since NYE. Think opening weekend of baseball and the masters is a good time to enjoy some naturdays.

There's not even the tiniest hint of tragedy or unusual sorrow when someone who's ninety-freaking-nine dies, particularly after they've lived the life that Prince Philip did. Save the sanctimony, and good luck changing your Insta profile pic to a Union Jack flag, ya cockney bastard.

No shit. I lost my 94 year old grandmother last year. While I was sad to lose her, it was no tragedy. She had a wonderful life.

But, my cousins and I never walked out of our visits with her making fun of her appearance, you F'n dolt. Try reading better.
