Maybe in another 20 years or so, amirite?

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WKYT) -
Two powerful Kentucky Republican lawmakers have announced there is "no chance" a casino gambling bill will pass in an upcoming legislative session.

Senate President Robert Stivers, R-Manchester, and Majority Floor Leader Damon Thayer, R-Georgetown, released a joint statement Thursday to attack Attorney General Andy Beshear's position on casino gambling.

“Recently, Andy Beshear has advanced the notion of legalizing land-based casino gambling in our state. This proposal has been sold to the people of Kentucky as a panacea for the Commonwealth’s financial concerns. We want to be abundantly clear, there is absolutely no chance any such effort would pass the Senate in an upcoming session. Any bill proposing casino gambling would be dead on arrival," the statement said.

Look you stupid assholes, you're going to see the snark level kept in check when HOFCJVC is reeling in top 5 players weekly and werepeckering college basketball as he's supposed to at the mother lovin' University of KENTUCKY.

It's evident that whatever slumber Cal and the program had dozed off into is now over. The big dog has rubbed the sleep from its eyes and is swaggering down the street looking for a fight over who pissed in its yard. And frankly, it's about GD time.
You’re as right about this as you are wrong about Lady Mary.

Mock my refined palate for women, max. It's fine.

Bunch of dudes who cruise Ross Dress for Less ogling fat turkeys in sweats and flip flops trying to tell me what a beautiful woman is. I've heard it all now.

Given the quality of politicians, consolidating counties (thereby giving them more power) seems like the exact opposite of what we should do.

I'd rather have Richard "Jimmy" "Pig Iron" Earlywine be the Judge-Executive of 6000 people in Fleming County, take a little from the till from time to time and abuse the free Lee's buffet, than some of the people in state office focusing their attention on getting their hands on the new county government of 400,000 people

Kentucky needs to consolidate about 100 counties. Not kidding. 120 counties for a state with 4 million people is ridiculous especially in government.
I mean it’s clearly been working *fine* for us for a couple of centuries so not sure why you think there needs to be a change.

My mom is dating a guy named Pig Iron from Carlise. He's exactly what you'd think he is with strong accent and was named such as a kid because he was "tougher than pig iron."

Great guy, actually.

He's exactly who I got that name from.[laughing] Used to live off Headquarters, headed out towards Republican/Harrison County

I was Team SAE before that bullshit post this morning.

Guy needs to get a grip, imho.

I kinda liked SAE's post this morning. Paragraph one was the POV of a curmudgeonly fan who hasn't been satisfied with near-misses when it comes to Final Fours and top-shelf recruits. But in paragraph two, there's a recalibration of sorts, a recognition that Cal has been punched in the mouth and is not only looking to punch back, but is also looking to GET IN THE RING ON OCTOBER 29TH, as it were.

I don't know, man. I read hope in that post. But maybe I'm misreading SAE. It's happened before.

I guess what I'm saying is, who knows maybe Cal will win?

Zion to miss the first few weeks of the season with a knee injury.

Hate to see that, but it's not surprising. Took 3 nice ROY futures banking on that, b/c he's obviously a runaway if he's healthy.

Dude was averaging like 23ppg and shooting like 90% from the field, per usual. Gonna be a shame if he's not able to enjoy at least somewhat of a healthy career - that's a fun young team down there.

Can Zion get down to like 235? I feel like he'd either be able to jump over the backboard and become the most athletically dominant player of all time, or he'd be just kind of above average as he wouldn't have the bulk to just move people out of the way.
