Think Un could do a lot for his image if he started going by "KJ" instead of "Kim Jong" or "Kimmy". "KJ" sounds a lot less threatening and less nukie, more trustworthy.
I never listen to the radio anymore, like it's been years. But my 11 year old doesn't appreciate my music library like she should and I find myself compromising with her and playing the radio from time to time or allowing her to use her ipod in the car...
The pop music that is on the radio now is some sort of DJ mashup from hell with no discernable intro, middle, bridge, hook. Random people talking then some chick raps at some point in almost every song, then there are long periods of time where nothing, no one is talking or singing it's just like there are 3 songs playing at once with no consistent flow or beat. Total garbage.

Local UL media now beginning to pile on and mainly attacking the henchmen. In typical media fashion I now anticipate this becoming a game of one upsmanship, so that should be enjoyable.
The vindication for us is amazing. We've been seeing this stuff since the late aughts and were always put off as "crazy UK fans." Nearly every single thing was accurate and this is just the shit that has come out. Can you imagine the rest? If someone ever decides to roll on that club it would be an amazing story.

I guess it makes them feel like they are not putting down Tomma. But really whats the difference? They were acting on Tomma's orders.
I feel the same about talk radio hosts. The ego involved with thinking your opinion is so important that others should hear it for 2-4 hours 5xs per week is astounding. No way you can have that high of an opinion of your own thoughts and still be a well rounded person.
Now that we're hearing details and confirmation, it's even more amazing that Louisville media actually allowed themselves to be bullied by that guy.

I know that no one should listen to my opinion for 2 hours every day...but then people do and I get to do it with my friends. So I cant really turn that down. But I do realize it is an absurd gig...and makes up for the fact that I am not a well-rounded person in the least.
--- I do feel vindicated by the chatter since the end of the Jurich era. We have been on this train for over 5 years and often were alone, or only joined on some issues by Joe Sonka doing reporting. There is a part of me that finds it amusing to now hear people speak up, as I do wonder what took so long. But my living was not primarily Card-based, so I acknowledge it is different. I know that I would have spoken up more on UK things as well, but until you showcase that, people will be skeptical and I understand it. Nevertheless, at times Jurich-related issues made my life really difficult over the last 5-7 years. There is vindication in seeing that I was not only proven correct, but that some over there reaped what they sowed.
--- Terry Touchdown is the real deal from what I am hearing on the Football side. Florida and Nebraska were heavy on the kid and Mullen told him the job would be his next year if he came. Getting him is an amazing pull. Almost everyone expects him to start, or compete with Gunnar for the job. There is a sense that Barker's best bet might be a grad transfer. The key though is getting Gunnar to stay and battle in the Spring. I think that is what they are working on now.

Valvalno said today that Jurich pulled an advertiser from his show after he had UK people on the show. He claimed it cost him nearly $30,000. Others actually lost their jobs. Pretty easy to see why they acted accordingly and pretty hard to blame them if their bosses were going to allow that. Almost all those local major radio advertisers in Louisville are tied to the hip over there. I could name tons of them.

I really wish Vanneti would come out, I hated to see him say "no comment" when they asked him about jurich wanting to punch him and crush his bones.

Had someone who worked there tell me this weekend that if you crossed Tom you were pretty much done in this town, at least in your current job capacity. People were literally fearful of losing their careers. That's nuts.
