- Jesus- PJ Washington has been awful so far. How many turnovers does he have?

- Regarding last night- meh. Nothing you wouldn’t expect - young team getting up, relaxing, letting other team make a bit of a run.

- Knox’s J has been a revelation. Beautiful and soft.

- Richards isn’t good but his rebounding shows promise.

- Bridge year and hope you can get hot in March. Not out of the question.

- Hate on the checkerboard if you insist, but I really dig the cut of the jerseys.

- Almost feel for Kansas fan- every year they deal with some sort of drama. That’s why Cal doesn’t go after those guys.

- I mean, you beat Louisville Saturday, it’s a damn good season for alma mater. Lose and it’s a fairly big disappointment.

- Think we have a house...inspection on Friday. Developing...

I don't feel sorry for Kansas - at all. I hate Kansas and Carolina with a passion, followed closely by Duke now that Capel is paying all of those players and such.

I feel like every time Green shoots, it's going in. It just looks so effortless. But I feel like every time he throws up a floater, it misses.. sooo.

Knox seems like he has feet just slightly faster that Wiltjer. Is that good?

Thanks to Anth on the hook-up of the upsale of a new furnace as that was the first thing to go on the house I bought 6 months ago. That home inspection was really thorough.

I mean Jeff Capel is the biggest cheater in college basketball, right? Dude got fired at Oklahoma for CHEATING. And immediately after getting hired by Coach K, Duke starts getting a who's who of One and Dones...which previously was against Coach K's MO. Why isn't this a bigger story?
Dude has a knack for getting kids qualified that Cal backs away from...jus sayin.

Back from Hiatus Randos:

Nice little run for ole BBdK, felt good to get away for a bit

-Vegas for 4 days -- crushed, of course. $20 trick to a nice Jr. Suite upgrade off a comped stay. SW, Rao's, Yardbird, In & Out (eh). About 10 ours per day of gambol/sportsbook, a little pool, spa day to close...the works. What a place.

Oh yeah, the Action Bronson concert was :fire::fire::fire::sunglasses::sunglasses::sunglasses:

-Nashville for the Vandy game w/ the Lass, feat. lil bro. Nice time, but man Nashville is seriously out of control at this point.

Lower Broadway used to be a nice little release valve from Honky Tonk land, but it's like Bourbon Street down there now. Valentine, CrazyTown, FGL house, and a host of others. Lines down the street for *every* bar, it was pretty miserable. We've all been to SECTs and other events where it's jam packed down there, and this was easily 50% worse. Didn't help that you had the Preds game Saturday night followed by Bengals/Titans Sunday, but damn.

-Chicago for Champions Classic, such a great event. Still undefeated at buying a nosebleed (or this time, our ticket was actually standing room only), then walking down to sit practically on the floor. Anyone who buys actual premium tickets for that event is an idiot.

STK, Geno's (meh), Shake Shack, Eataly.

Small group compared to usual, but we went pretty hard. Lots of bourbon, lots of shots.

-Don't have a whole lot to say about the basketball cats yet, other than they are painful to watch.

Do wonder how stupid some of you SKJ haters feel (Chase). Kid is just now 18 years old, and progressing along like a normal 6-10 kid does. He's got a ways to go, but it's pretty clear he's going to be a nice player. People bitch about the One & Done, then write off any kid (Gabriel) who isn't ready to bolt or be an AA after 8 months in college. Can't have it both ways, no matter how hard you try.

-Green is exactly who I thought he'd be.

-Diallo is surprisingly my favorite player thus far. Needs to keep his head up and be a better playmaker imo, and is obviously a bit raw & prone to some bad plays, but the kid plays hard consistently & certainly isn't scared of the action. I like him.

-PJ :weary:

-Lamar & Bobby gonna get a little retaliation this Saturday, I'm afraid. Sprinkled on the Cats at +9.5, but don't feel good about it.

Some good news though, we have the #1 kicker in the country committed for next year, and his name is CHANCE. Nice interview by Larry Vaught w/ he & his dad this morning on Leach, and he didn't even call him CHAINCE.

-Speaking of GAMBOL, have gone from -$525 to +$26 in the past 2 weeks. Welcome back, CBB!

-Mentioned Club Pro Guy podcast to several friends a few weeks back. It really is about the funniest thing I've ever heard, and any golfer would agree. Have listened to it 4x in full, gets better with each listen. Genius

-This place has a 2-3 posters (one, in particular) who are posting about 80% of the 'content' these days -- and it sucks. Stop ruining GYERO, please.

-Really ready to shut it down for the year...pretty much already have. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!! (or is it still Halloween?)

-bought a few pairs of dress trousers this week. Green moleskin from Crittenden, grey/red plaid wool flat front from Brooks bros and a lovely pair of light grey/cream windowpane by berle from Howard and Miller. Strong.

-hosting tgiving. Traditional fare. I enjoy culinary creativity/haute cuisine as much as the next guy...but simple traditions are nice especially when cooking for 19.

-clay pigeons at the farm Saturday morning with by bud from Atl and families has become a tgiving weekend tradition. Going to cabelas to pick up a new trap thrower tomorrow.

-Cats at noon/iron bowl/sir pizza. Atl buddy is an auburn grad...so war eagle, or whatever.

-bball cats have an elite 8 ceiling this year. Not bad for a bridge year. Hope to be surprised.

-Cats 44 cards 35.

And stupid Mitch made Cal dump Rod Strickland and hire Joel bc he went to church with his daddy! Smh.

Not to mention Barbee. This ain't coach rehab. We need killers back on our bench.

Earned played last night, ffs! If Rod was on our bench Earned wouldn't cross him to go to the scorers table even if Daddy was telling him to. Boy sitcho ass down.

That was at OU. Nobody gonna touch him at Duke and he knows it.

* UofL is 3rd in the country in total offense. UK is 105th. UofL is 65th in total defense. UK is 81st. UofL is 24th in CFB's version of KenPom. UK is 88th. It shouldn't be close, especially considering the UK injuries and how each team is trending, BUT I will wait to see what UKErik says before I decide how to feel about this game. And if Stoops wins this one, he's getting a 12 month pass from this CAT FAN.

* Think the last 8 minutes of the game last night had more to do with our coach milking the clock than it did our guys being freshmen. Cal gonna Cal.

* The wife, 12/26/16: "I really think we ought to scale back on what we get the kids next Christmas. We spent way too much money and they won't even use half this stuff" The wife, November 2017: "I've only gotten 500 gifts for each of them, and I'm not even halfway done. Oh well. I guess that's what your Christmas bonus is for!"

-Quade Green is our best player right now. TS.

I don’t care if he’s liability on defense, they’re all still learning how to play D, and he’s the only player we have I’m absolutely comfortable with when has the ball.

- Does Washington have the weakest hands imaginable? He gets it stripped way too often.

-Richards is way raw but he will make solid strides as the season progresses.

- Like seeing SKJ battle. That shot is pure looking.

Michael Porter, Jr. Boom, outta here.

Knew there was more to it than what Mizzou was suggesting.

What a blow to that program and the SEC. Was looking forward to him mixing it up with the CATS.

I went to Tony’s kind of hoping the steak would be good but nothing to write home about so I could go back to my cheaper steak options. Nope. Tony’s was the best steak I’ve had in Lex by far. I can enjoy the others but there was simply no comparison.

PTI after his Best Western and Michelob nights.

Marcus Lee averaging 12p 9r early on as well.

Who has developed the most as a player under our Cal tenure? Tough to say, as most haven't stayed around enough for us to see. Hawkins? Maybe WCS?
