D-League

I just got back from Publix and found my favorite sausage on the shelf. It is a new item at our store and is selling fast. I bought up a bunch of them. Feeling good today.

I went to Bowling Green yesterday and in that 15 mile run down I-65 there were three bucks dead just on my side of the road. It is a shame to lose your life over a little piece of tail.
Going up to Nky there are probably 10-15 deer dead by the road. To be fair it's a total north and south bound, but there are a lot of them. Must be some real honey's running in deer form up there.

Love your optimism, but I don't think there's anyway on earth they stay within 24 of Bama unless Saban is using the game as a scrimmage and just runs basic stuff they want to work on while getting live reps.
I am not optimistic either. The Bama QB is in a race with the Florida QB for the Heisman Trophy. He is going to do his best to light up the end zone with TD passes. I see a minimum of 5 passing TDs from Jones and if Bama really wants to run up the score, watch out.

This is an interesting photo of growing shade tobacco. If you raised tobacco you may know about this. The tobacco was raised "in the shade" to keep the tobacco leaf free of sun spots. By keeping spots off of the leaf it could be used as a cigar wrapper and sold at a premium. The best cigars were void of the sunspots.

Remember a high end cigar shop on the strip at Vegas where you could watch them roll/make cigars. Amazing how quickly those guys could crank out a cigar. Imagine most are machine made.
Being in Florida, I'm sure there are places like that there, especially S. Florida.

Andy thinks you should tell family to make an appointment to eat Thanksgiving dinner with you. All I can say is, he better enjoy this term because he'll not get another one.
Andy is a buffoon and I don't know anyone that will abide his foolish decrees. I am certainly not. He is so woefully inept. Anyone who voted for should be ashamed of themselves.

What is so horrible is that his father, Steve, would call me when he was in my area and Sherry and I would go to "back" him up. Then Steve did that horrific speech after Trump won. I never knew until then how radical he was because we were trying to get commerce into my area.

By the way, Andy's mother is from Bowling Green. I hope that that fact does not ruin our economic growth.

Oh yes, tons of them. Go to the sponge docks at Tarpon Springs and you will see cigar makers who learned their trade in Cuba. They have tobacco seeds taken from Cuban tobacco plants and grow and make excellent cigars. Same for over in Tampa (The Cigar City). Tampa pretty much grew out of the cigar business.

The cigars made at the sponge docks and some of the cigar stores near me are hand made and hand rolled. That is a very interesting process to watch. These folks are skilled at their trade.

As a Finance manager back in the late 80's/early 90's his son was our bank contact. Nice guy. Did NOT have the accent. He transferred to NYC not too long after.

Good Friday Morning D League

We are waking up to another pleasant cool day with a temperature of 60°. We should have plenty of sunshine as we get to a high of 78° this afternoon. Our rain chance is 5%. Our moon phase is waxing cresent.

Not much going on today, I will take a few hours and detail my truck. If I have a little extra time I will clean some guns. Always something to do

Morning from a mild, sunny and clear Ohio. Looks to be a pretty nice day.

Home project is done. Refinished the floor in the dining room. Worked on it for a week. Took 4 or 5 days to sand it down to the point where I thought it would be smooth with no gouges, swirls, etc. First time using a belt floor sander. Used multiple sanders. Then stained and four coats of poly. Turned out pretty good. Maybe the best that 163 year old hard pine has looked. Just glad it's over.

Don't have an arsenal like you guys. Wish I did considering how quickly my country is running off the rails.
Only arsenal I've got is a German Luger my Dad took off a dead German officer. Hasn't been fired since about 1955, and I doubt you can even get ammo for it now.

Everyone have a good day.

Most of my weapons have been purchased from private individuals. I did buy the .22 Derringer at a gun pawn shop. I keep it in my truck in the center console. A pistol was bought from a man selling tomatoes on the side of the road. I pulled over to buy a sack of tomatoes for supper and left with the bag and a .38 special. He had it on the tailgate of his pickup, I asked if he wanted to sell it and he did.

5 of the rifles were bought from my brother in law and my uncle gave me a few pistols before he died. Weapons are not hard to get in Florida. I do need to start downsizing though. I could probably get rid of half of them and be OK
