Arkansas goes down again. Hog fans starting to see the light. And remember, this is an Arkansas team with several Kentucky veterans, the best players from Calipari’s Kentucky recruiting class through April, and some players who stuck with Arkansas. You can’t compare that to what Pope cobbled together with zero returnees beginning in mid-April. This is likely to be Cal’s best team in Arkansas because it includes players drawn to Kentucky . It’s likely to be Pope’s worst team because he had no time to recruit.

Off today may President Carter rest in peace.

OT though, and this may be too much but I have been on a changing food and changing eating kick for a long while to get chemicals out of what I eat as much as is possible.. And away from fake foods. Been learning a lot.

I eat well-rounded meals and good food but I eat too much. I eat vegetables, fruits, and a lot of other good things regularly.

Saying that, I have had digestion problems for years in the area of constipation. I finally found a pill that worked but, in checking it was chemically laden so I quit it.

If any of you have those type issues try this...

Drink a hot cup of water first thing in the morning. (Nothing but hot water.) That may have nothing to do with it but it allows your body to function better inside. (I have done this every day for three or more weeks now.) (My body does feel a little different in a good way.)

Find a small container (I started this with the intention of doing it every day to see where it took me.) I use a very small plastic container that holds at most a couple ounces.

Put a tablespoon or less (It doesn't take much I find.) of Olive oil (It was stated to use extra virgin olive oil but in checking that was the same oil My Darling uses in some items she cooks.) Then get some ground turmeric powder (Turmeric is not a spicy hot powder so no worries.) Use less than a half teaspoon. I bought the walmart brand. Cheap to use.) That small bottle is still three quarters full so... (Think it was a dollar and a half or so..)

Mix that in with the olive oil and stir it up. Then put it in the microwave for 10 to 15 seconds just to warm it. Stir it up again then drink it. (Not a horrible taste.) (Cleaning the container was the rough part. )

In three days I was healed. No running to the rest room either. A good feeling I have not had in a long while.

I am in the third week of this but I do not do this every day. I started at three days and it lasted a good long while. I started again yesterday but didn't really need to but the ingredients are good for you anyway so...

It is a cheap and non-chemical fix to what ails you if this ails you. thought I'd share but well worth the try if you are in this type situation.... I hope you are not.

However, during her tests she found out she is allergic to dairy (caused her life long constipation) and no longer has that issue. Also, egg whites were causing her nose to run constantly. She's doing much better, but it sure makes it difficult to find things she can eat.

Try to eliminate dairy for a while and see how that goes.

The guy I sold stuff to today told me something that seemed unbelievable to me. He has been in the lamp business for 51 years. He has sales reps in several states and both sells and does the deliveries on the road himself. He has phone numbers for each store and often multiple numbers for different people at the same store. He accidentally dropped his phone in water and has lost (if I understood him right) the 4,000 phone numbers that was in his phone. Over 51 years, I guess some were no longer good, but 4,000 people. Knowing 4,000 people well enough to have their phone numbers blows my mind.

Yes, I drink a little half and half with my coffee. Try finding that with out additives. Only one I have found. I have been taking stock of what I eat since you posted. Do have some dairy going on. Not much My Darling cooks but pancakes and items with sharp cheddar cheese. I was drinking coconut milk only with my coffee but darned the canned stuff I was buying has SO many chemicals in it. I have 11 cans still sitting in my garage in the box. I quit that stuff and felt so much better.

I found a coconut powder with no chemicals except an "organic" tapioca maltodextrin now but while I like it, it isn't the same as the liquid. I've been using that and a little half and half. My coffee intake is very minimal but I drink it until about 2 or 2:30 most weekdays. (Two tablespoons in a four cup coffee maker. Then I add water that will make me about three large cups (16 ounces)

I will stop but I do thank you for making me think with the ideas. I am betting it will help as well.

I am old enough to have seen Clemente play quite a bit. He is definitely a hall of fame guy, but imo he has been over rated. His on base % was good but not great and his on base plus slugging was .834 which is again good, but not great. Defensively he had a great arm and above average otherwise, but right field is not as important as center field.

Hello, D-Leaguers! Been doing the lurking thing for a while.

Read about some health related issues and thought I might respond to see if it helps anyone at all. A good friend of mine is studying to be a health coach (his wife will be doing functional medicine) and was taking to me a out some things he's learned in his studies.

Research has tied recent milk intolerance along a growing percentage of the population to the breeding of milk cows for increased production. The casein levels are higher in the newer hybrids and this is a big factor in increasing the intolerance the last few decades or so.

For people that still want milk in their diet with its benefits, they should look to Amish farms or those using more heritage breeds that have had little hybridization for purposes of milk production. Also, somehow skim and 2% milk have a higher amount of unhealthy casein levels per ounce, because they don't have the other ingredients in milk that offset the effects of the casein...? Anyway, we took their advice and switched to store bought organic whole milk and true whole milk (store whole milk is 6% milk fat) from local farms for cooking, goat milk as well, and it's helped us a bunch.

Also, the chemical used in most US wheat production is now bromine, and it's causing a TON of issues for people across the country. Very few mills use a less toxic bleaching product these days, but there are some. Weisenberger Mills has at least one flour that is NOT brominated (maybe more) that at least one person my friend knows personally can eat without any GI issues.

The fact is, however, there are 3 issues with US wheat. 1 is bromination 2 is glyphosate used not only as a weed killer, but also as a drying agent (causes the wheat to soak up TONS more of the herbicide than it normally would), and the hybridization of American wheat for production purposes changed the protein structure of the wheat/gluten (which caused the wheat intolerance issues we've seen increase over the last 40 years.

Wheat grown in some European nations such as Italy is neither brominated nor hybridized like US wheat. People who COULD NOT EAT WHEAT produced here, have been documented to have zero GI issues with the wheat they eat in Italy.

The turmeric and olive oil is a wonderful suggestion from what I've heard. Some I know have suggested castor oil for some GI home remedies as well, but the olive oil and turmeric sounds much better for ingestion.

Yes. Many good times with Joe. I was his North Florida, South Georgia contact. Back in those days the AAU tourney was held down there and I would pick him up at the airport and take him to where ever he wanted to go.

The insight is super to know as I could not for the life of me figure out why I had no dairy issues growing up and now it is different if that was it. (Makes serious sense.)

Thanks again too on the Olive oil and turmeric. A couple times a week (Still in the trial stage doing some testing whether a couple days in a row or spread over a couple times a week to see what works best.) I took it three days in a row but the result was after the second day. I stopped after the third day and waited a few days as all was fine. I took it yesterday but not this morning but I did drink a cup of hot water then went to my coffee. (I had been drinking 10 or 12 ounces of water but not hot for years now every morning since I was in Korea back in 2012. I just changed that to hot water. (Seems to help as well.) I will do that going forward. I drink regular water from my RO system during the day a lot.

The Olive oil and Turmeric is so natural and cheap I could not help but at least try it. I am thankful.

Now more than before though I am of great HOPE that R. Kennedy can get food changed in this country. Darn he cannot make it any worse. Drugs/ chemicals and the testing of drugs/ chemicals are literally killing this country from the inside out.

I have no desire to stop working because I can still perform well but I am sick of a couple people I work under, they need to be gone. The 38 or so people I supervise are a different story. No clunkers in the bunch. A first for me.


Working on some house stuff and tax stuff, and rental stuff, and auto stuff. Waiting and going to hold off a bit as My Darling needs a new car/ SUV, I will take over her Camry, and sell my Mazda... I will wait until President Trump gets engrained and go from that point .....

I will be lurking but have a fine and blessed day all...

Need a new vehicle myself. My F150 is a 2007 and the KIA Sportage is a 2006 so they are both getting old. My wife has the newest (2017 Nissan Rogue) but has recently said she wants a new one too. Well, I told her that I am waiting until after I pay off the house (end of this year or the next). We are currently 10 years in on a 30-year mortgage, and while I have enough to do it now, I would not have much left over. Need to build some extra back up money first.

I had a 1990 F150 for a whole lot of years myself an XLT Lariat. (Standard gear shift.) until we got the job in Korea in 2012 and I sold it. Flat out loved that truck. I think it had a straight six as I remember.


Yeah we just did that back in September. (Paid off our house.) (The one we live in now. When I bought it the rate was 7% (2023) ). This is a 55 and over retirement community. We bought the house when we pulled into this neighborhood one day and the people that were having it built for some reason pulled out of the deal as it was being finished and we stepped in and bought it.) Sickened me every month seeing that payment and My Darling noticed it one day and asked of we could pay it off, I stated yes but we'd be cash poor until a CD matured. (Our last two houses other than the one we live in I still owe on but the rate is 2.25% on both of those so not rushing on them. I think the one house mortgage is due to be paid off anyway in about two years. Had that one built when we returned from Korea in 2015 on a fifteen year note (Had a good deal on that.) I paid a couple extra payments to principal on that one in January every year and actually cut a couple to three years off that note doing it.) My Darling is so very good with money. She also went to Barber school back when my youngest daughter started school 1995 or 96. We lived in E-Town then on Pintail Court off Deckard School Road (A house I sure wish we kept but didn't that we had built.) She was very good at cutting hair. That was back when I had my bug business. I initially used a CPA and bookkeeper and what they added to me was just another un-needed expense. (Used them for about six months or so then parted ways with them.) They crossed the T's and dotted the I's I guess but never saved me anything.

Computer's were starting to get going but before they did I started doing my own book keeping. (Payroll and Taxes. Never had any issues so I guess I was good. Was audited a couple times too.) I was working day and night but I was a lot younger then and could stand it. I have never been one to cheat, steal, or lie and when I did my books I was the same way. Sure was able to save up dough though by not doing things like leasing and such.. I took the hit.

While we made a decent living My Darling allowed us to start paying stuff off with what she made as a barber. We did too. AND, My Darling only has me as a client now. I am thankful again. She was really good at her trade and still is but I am sure thankful when we moved here in about 2017 She started cutting hair again but quit quickly. She can finally focus on herself just a little which she never does but she is able to get with her friends from time to time and interact. Makes me feel really good she can.

Now it's Turbotax Premium... The Microsoft office suite has all the other programs I need to keep up with our stuff.. Thinking about the time now when we divest. My children don't have the inclination to do things like I do. Working on learning trusts and things like that when able to take time to do so... Always something...

Yes. Many good times with Joe. I was his North Florida, South Georgia contact. Back in those days the AAU tourney was held down there and I would pick him up at the airport and take him to where ever he wanted to go.

Nice picture. I've read Coach Hall's book a couple of times and reading Goose's now. When I lived in Lexington as a kid I was only a few miles from Jack when he was in HS.....didn't know who he was at the time.
