D-League

Good morning D-League. Still freezing in the east.

Arkansas goes down again. Hog fans starting to see the light. And remember, this is an Arkansas team with several Kentucky veterans, the best players from Calipari’s Kentucky recruiting class through April, and some players who stuck with Arkansas. You can’t compare that to what Pope cobbled together with zero returnees beginning in mid-April. This is likely to be Cal’s best team in Arkansas because it includes players drawn to Kentucky . It’s likely to be Pope’s worst team because he had no time to recruit.

Heading out into the cold. I hope you all stay warm.

Good morning from ATX. Currently 39°F and cloudy. Expect steady temperatures all day. Rain inbound. Snow also forecast for DFW area. Try to get a walk in this morning before rain/snow starts.

Irritated skin late last night. Legs itched like crazy. Probably a reaction to some hot, spicy soup I devoured late yesterday afternoon.

Wishing y'all another great day.

That Cassoulet sounds like an itch waiting to happen, but a good itch...

Good Morning all,

Off today may President Carter rest in peace.

OT though, and this may be too much but I have been on a changing food and changing eating kick for a long while to get chemicals out of what I eat as much as is possible.. And away from fake foods. Been learning a lot.

I eat well-rounded meals and good food but I eat too much. I eat vegetables, fruits, and a lot of other good things regularly.

Saying that, I have had digestion problems for years in the area of constipation. I finally found a pill that worked but, in checking it was chemically laden so I quit it.

If any of you have those type issues try this...

Drink a hot cup of water first thing in the morning. (Nothing but hot water.) That may have nothing to do with it but it allows your body to function better inside. (I have done this every day for three or more weeks now.) (My body does feel a little different in a good way.)

Find a small container (I started this with the intention of doing it every day to see where it took me.) I use a very small plastic container that holds at most a couple ounces.

Put a tablespoon or less (It doesn't take much I find.) of Olive oil (It was stated to use extra virgin olive oil but in checking that was the same oil My Darling uses in some items she cooks.) Then get some ground turmeric powder (Turmeric is not a spicy hot powder so no worries.) Use less than a half teaspoon. I bought the walmart brand. Cheap to use.) That small bottle is still three quarters full so... (Think it was a dollar and a half or so..)

Mix that in with the olive oil and stir it up. Then put it in the microwave for 10 to 15 seconds just to warm it. Stir it up again then drink it. (Not a horrible taste.) (Cleaning the container was the rough part. ;) )

In three days I was healed. No running to the rest room either. A good feeling I have not had in a long while.

I am in the third week of this but I do not do this every day. I started at three days and it lasted a good long while. I started again yesterday but didn't really need to but the ingredients are good for you anyway so...

It is a cheap and non-chemical fix to what ails you if this ails you. thought I'd share but well worth the try if you are in this type situation.... I hope you are not.

Thanks man. Been giving the libs hell for years now haha. I have lived in the Newburgh/Evansville area of Indiana for over a decade now. Close to Kentucky though...grew up in KY, lived in KY my first 25 years, last seven of those in Lexington.

I'm in Muhlenberg, glad to meet you. I took a Stained-glass class in Newburgh many years ago, still doing glass after all these years

Nice to meet you sir. I grew up in Western Kentucky. Played a lot of golf in Muhlenberg County. Twin Oaks Golf Course. I think it closed 10-12 years ago.
You two can't leave me out.

I was the Evansville, IN Sales Manager for CSX from late 1983 to early 1986. I moved to Henderson, KY to keep Bob Knight from getting any of my tax money. My house was on the same hill as the Audubon State Park. I was a member of the Henderson Country Club. I still have owner ship in it.

That area is a wonderful place to live.

Good stuff Bert. I'm sorry if I should know this cause I occasionally drop by the D-League...you knew Joe B. Hall or were close with him?

My wife did some allergy tests a couple of years ago. She knew she was allergic to one of the chemicals in the bleaching process for flour so only uses unbleached flour. Also, the same chemical must be used in "modified" anything....usually less than 2% in the ingredients.

However, during her tests she found out she is allergic to dairy (caused her life long constipation) and no longer has that issue. Also, egg whites were causing her nose to run constantly. She's doing much better, but it sure makes it difficult to find things she can eat.

Try to eliminate dairy for a while and see how that goes.

I was in Evansville this morning. Met a customer there and took him about 1600 dollars worth of shades and did a verbal agreement on selling around 200 lamps for later. Then went to Costco and spent all the profit.

Thanks, I rarely if ever drink milk. I do indulge in things made of milk though. I do appreciate that as I do remember that being something I was concerned about at one point. I always think of milk as being non-chemically laced but you may be on to something as I type this thinking about it... Thanks again!

Great to hear your wife is doing better.
