Good morning folks.

Cautiously optimistic on Ivisic, the Croatian Sensation, after yesterday. I guess we’ll find out for sure soon, but that statement UK released to me signaled the administration understands they get this done or look like absolute idiots.

And the Rally Reds are pulling me back in. Forced to start a guy from the minors, they fall way behind, then tie it in the 8th and get another walk off win in the 9th.

Morning Legionnaires!

72° this morning with a high near 100°. Next few days in the triple digits and then a cooling trend comes in on the weekend. 90's with the mornings supposed to be in the 60's. Truck still in the shop so, fishing will have to wait until I get it back. Hopefully soon.

Reds have won 3 of their last 4 by walk off hits. Still hanging in there and are a half a game ahead of the Giants (I think) for the final playoff spot in the National League.

It's Hump Day for you grinders so, be safe out there and push it real good.

It’s all complicated and confused but UK was refusing to enroll him —a kid who speaks 4 languages —over a failed attempt to pass from overseas some English as a Second Language test. Watch his interviews. He speaks English a hell of a lot better than some of the kids from Kentucky in the freshman class.

That meant he couldn’t get a student visa to come here and enroll —which would give him the whole semester to pass the test. And like a bunch of petty bureaucrat A-holes the admissions department dug in and wouldn’t give him the clearance for the visa. At least that’s how I understand it. Yesterday pissed off fans deluged the president’s office and UK was forced to put out a statement denying the worst of its stupidity and promising “everybody” was working together to make this happen. We’ll see.

In North Carolina he’d have already been given a diploma and in Kansas two free passes to batter women without being charged. It’s ridiculous for Kentucky to be as unyielding as it has been so far.

Good morning everyone.

We are still just catching up from our trip last week. I won't bore you with the details.

Wildlife Wednesday.... We saw this bull elk (and a cow) while at the visitor center at the Smokies last week. We took more vids than pics so don't have a real good one. He bugled a couple of times while we were watching and he ended up walking to within 10 yards of me. We didn't see any bears.

There's nothing quite like being under the stars with some grreen horns and seeimg the look on their faces upon hearing these annoucements emanating from the darkness.

Morning Legionnaires!

71° with light winds. Today's high is to be around 103°. More of the same tomorrow, but our temps change to the 90's by the weekend going forward with rains starting sometime later in the week next week.

Normal day today with monster walking, workout, and playing Mr. Miyagi. Will probably watch the first official NFL game tonight, Lions at the Chiefs. Should be a drubbing by the Chiefs.

Reds...eh...at least they took the series. Play the Cards starting tomorrow night. That used to be bad for us, but the Cards suck this year so...

Good morning D-League.

Last work day this week downtown. Rumbling along on the subway.

Busy times for me, especially with the weekend trip to Kentucky ahead. Weather is cool and clear, at least early. It seems like the rest of the world is getting pummeled by weather one way or another but we’ve had a moderate summer and already some days that feel like fall.

I know him. I gave him some of my games and I think that he got a cease and desist order from the government. Notice I said that I gave him some of my games because selling them would be illegal. I even covered the postage.

I appreciate your efforts to help me and I don't want to preach, but I can't do it.

I will pay my $6.95 to ESPN. Sending him money is a direct violation of Copyright law. "As a general matter, copyright infringement occurs when a copyrighted work is reproduced, distributed, performed, publicly displayed, or made into a derivative work without the permission of the copyright owner."

I realized what used to happen but I thought he got that worked out legit.

I'm with you fully. Gives me pause again....

If so, it is a shame. There are multiple ways to do the right thing and still make a living. You could sell UK gear legitimately (I know there are costs but that is the cost of doing business. You must charge accordingly.)

I took it that what he was doing generated sufficient revenue now.. (Kind of like a youtube channel.)

I sure hope that is not the case.

Copyright protection is only as good as the owner wants it to be and is willing to prosecute.

I have intellectual property and according to my lawyer it is only as good as you want to make it.

Try using McDonald's Copyright material. You will be in court in no time.

If ESPN wants to go after him then he is toast. ESPN does not pay out all of those millions for the right to telecast games, and sell the games on ESPN+, then let someone give the profit away by avoiding folks having to pay for the games.

Blue World Order is a fine fellow and I appreciate what he does, I just don't want to be a part in breaking laws.

I just renewed my ESPN+, so Saturday I will be able to watch the Cats. I am $10.00 poorer than this morning, but I will get to see the game Saturday.

I do regret starting this discussion. It just pisses me off that ESPN can't stick us enough only because we want to watch our team.

I still float my boat the same as you. This guy has got like 7900 followers on facebook. I did look first as I do remember yesteryears. It gave me pause and not in a way I had hoped. I cannot fund bad. I will leave it at that. Not at all judging but making a statement. I hope it is not so... (I did just click his Youtube channel and the link is defunct....) :(

74° this morning looking at a high of 104° for the day. Supposed to start cooling down this weekend so...

Enjoyed watching Detroit comeback and beat the Chiefs last night. Need KC to lose some more this year so that if the Bengals play up to par the AFC playoffs go through Cincinnati.

Good morning folks. Checking in from the ER at the hospital where my wife works. Was feeling pain down my side and a few other symptoms of kidney infection and my wife the RN convinced me it was better to get it checked out before our lightning round trip drive to Kentucky. It’d really suck to get really severely sick around Keysers Ridge WVA or wherever.

In any case, I’m here now cooling my heels. Wish me a speedy escape. I hate these places.

Glad to see the Chiefs lose at home. Lots of weeks of drama ahead before t maybe the Bengals can get that home field advantage this year.

Thanks for the good wishes Bert and others.

I'm back home. Things look good. My blood work was clean for serious stuff. Mild kidney infection. They hooked me up to an IV and gave me a bag of the PRIMO antibiotics and script for more. I should be fine. Glad I did this because I didn't want to be driving 16 hours this weekend with pain in my kidneys.
