Good Sunday morning D-League

Drinking a mighty fine cup of coffee this morning. Should get me going soon. Today is "Wear Your Team Jersey Day" at church. UK will be represented.. Our pastor is a football fan and sometimes he has a football in his hand when he preaches and will throw it into the congregation. He says it is to build team spirit but I think he sees someone nodding off and is waking them up. Just kidding about that. But he stands 6'5" and has a pretty strong arm.

Expecting another August day. Temperatures from a current 74 to as high as 90. We will have scattered showers in the area and it depends on which side of the road you are on if it gets you. Trust all have a great day

Good morning! Sitting here drinking my coffee and catching up on the news of the world.

I should mow my grass today but I'll wait until tomorrow when my wife is at work. I'll probably have an inside day today.

"united we stand, divided we fall" - this country needs to heed these wise words!

Good morning D from the Berg. Beautiful day GOD has made here! Y congrats on your hole in one! Closest I ever came was hitting the flag bounced away didn't drop straight down!

Prayers to all that need them. I have got two close friends, one they have given a couple weeks and my neighbor 1 to 3 months, just sad in the cord house right now. Getting ready to head to church in a few, ya'll have a great day!

We need rain, too. Only a trace last month. Grass turning mighty brown.
I checked the U.S. drought monitor and Jefferson county is listed as "abnormally dry" or a D0 level drought. Every time the weather guys predict some rain we get squat. This Tuesday is our only real chance for the next few weeks unless something changes.

Spaghetti and cheezy garlic bread for lunch. Guess what's for dinner?

Had my name on the marker for longest drive yesterday on #17. GPS had it at 282 yards. The guy that went to get the prize was a hoss and at least 30 years younger than I am. Prize was a Weber grill. Wouldn't have really come in handy at my house. Never understood why they would give away a driver for the long drive or a putter for the longest putt. If you win either you've got good equipment.

Happy Birthday to FCC. I’m only a few behind you.

Time and its passing has been on my mind during all the 50th anniversaries of the Moon landing, Chappaquiddick, Manson Murders, Woodstock, and so on. I was a fairly young kid then, but all that is so vivid in my memory.

What is remarkable to me is that almost as much time has passed since 1969, as between the end of World War 1 in late 1918 and the Moon Landing. That makes me feel old.
