Good Morning D

There were a few created by the combination of tailgating and spirited risk taking competition. The most interesting part for me was that these descendants of shiners were 3rd & 4th generation drivers and seeing men I've not seen in nearly 50 years that I knew well and hardly recognized.Any chance of a wreck?
Congrats to Bowling Green East All-Stars..The team from Bowling Green won their regional and are now headed to the LLWS. Non stop little league action the last few days, resuming Thursday at the main event.
We need rain, too. Only a trace last month. Grass turning mighty brown. The Derby City needs rain. My lawn looks awful.
Good morning from ATX. Currently 82°F and reaching possibly 105°F for a high today. Taking my hike soon to the grocery store.

I checked the U.S. drought monitor and Jefferson county is listed as "abnormally dry" or a D0 level drought. Every time the weather guys predict some rain we get squat. This Tuesday is our only real chance for the next few weeks unless something changes. We need rain, too. Only a trace last month. Grass turning mighty brown.
You know the D-League rules.Ribs will be off the smoker in a hour. Along with sliced maters, slaw, fried corn, cukes and onions, sweet tea and cornbread.
Ahhhhhh summertime.
Enjoy your day FCC! And many more!I'm 67 today. Never thought l'd live this long. FCC.

Always great seeing steam!
282...Spaghetti and cheezy garlic bread for lunch. Guess what's for dinner?
Had my name on the marker for longest drive yesterday on #17. GPS had it at 282 yards. The guy that went to get the prize was a hoss and at least 30 years younger than I am. Prize was a Weber grill. Wouldn't have really come in handy at my house. Never understood why they would give away a driver for the long drive or a putter for the longest putt. If you win either you've got good equipment.
282...Sounds like I need to hit the weights a little harder. Nice drive!!!

Now this is my kind of railroad engine. I can smell that coal smoke blowing out of her chimney right now. When I was a boy planes, trains and automobiles were what life was all about. That and your pony.

Hard to believe Kevin Knox is just turning 20. He was a mere baby when he played for our Cats.Speaking of birthdays, wishing a happy one to a couple former Wildcat basketball players.

No question. The most historic stretch of events in my lifetime. People forget that hurricane Camille made landfall on the last day of Woodstock. Still the second most powerful hurricane to hit the U.S. while killing 248. We vacationed in Biloxi the following year because they were so desperate for tourists. Dad got a great deal. You could still see the devastation.Happy Birthday to FCC. I’m only a few behind you.
Time and its passing has been on my mind during all the 50th anniversaries of the Moon landing, Chappaquiddick, Manson Murders, Woodstock, and so on. I was a fairly young kid then, but all that is so vivid in my memory.
What is remarkable to me is that almost as much time has passed since 1969, as between the end of World War 1 in late 1918 and the Moon Landing. That makes me feel old.
Ditto.Congrats to Bowling Green East All-Stars..
