D-League

Just had a hankering for one of these today. Brings back memories of my youth. Been around since 1955.

I remember, as a kid growing up, those things were gigantic. One required quite some time for consumption. Heh, seemed like half a day or so.

Good Friday morning D League

We are looking at a 30% chance of rain with a probably high of 90°. Typical August day. The Preseason NFL is here and that means we are closer to the start of the college season. I like it. We are not getting much if any love from the national writers and analysts so our team and coaching staff will have something to prove. Again. I think we will be much, much better than they are forecasting for us.

Thank the Lord for coffee this morning and thank the Lord I do not have any diet restrictions that would keep me from drinking caffeine. What a bummer that would be. Y'all have a great day and our thoughts are with you Railroad.

They're still big but I finished it off much faster than I did back then.

We still have an ice cream truck that makes the rounds in our neighborhood. I wonder if they take credit.

Recover quickly RR!

I went to the doctors office this morning for my six month exam blood test. Monday afternoon I see the Dr. and hopefully get a shot and muscle relaxers for this back. To lower the liver enzymes and to keep my Doctor off my butt; I have only had alcohol one day the last month and that was last Friday when @ymmot31 , @_Rooster & @OldEvilleCat visited. I will have a drink today! :flushed:

I got a bargain on some Ribeye USDA Prime steaks day before yesterday. I got a dozen, averaged 16 ozs each, for $12.00 a pound. Man are they pretty. I just love beef steak.

Best of luck to Railroad. I really feel for anyone with back trouble this week as all I have to do to put myself in their position is bend over a little. :weary:

Shout out to RRCat! Get better buddy!

Bert, you may not have drank for a month but it looked like you didn't forget how. At all.

I bet Louisville was the top party school when they were having stripper parties.

I slept in until after 1100 this morning which was around 12 hours of sleep. Only had 4 the night before. Feel pretty good long about now. Went to Subway and got a 6 inch meatball sub with provolone, black olives, and jalapenos. It didn't last long and never had a chance.

Picked up a couple of magnetic latches for the screen doors on the patio. Simple job.

Playing in a big golf scramble tomorrow. Should be 36 teams and take about 6 hours to complete. This is one where my wife will drop me off at the course and then come back and drag me home later. There will be beer.

Have a great rest of the day!

Bert, I'm sure you have heard the old joke about the guy who was at a bar and proclaimed that his Dr. told him he could have one drink a day. He then told the bartender that "this one is for March 5th, 2042".

Just got home from the golf course and the Friday night scramble. Just a little 9 holer with 6 man teams. Last week I won $25 for closest to the pin on #7. I won that again tonight and made the birdie putt. Then, THEN, I proceeded to hit a hole in one on #2!

That's my first one ever in spite of being very close many times. 190 yards with a 5 iron. Only won $25 for it tonight but if I would have done that on Wednesday I would have won $500.

Congrats on the ace.

Good Saturday morning D-League

We made it. Congratulations to Tommy on the hole in one.:golf: Nice. [cheers] Well I am anxious to see how our football team scrimmages today. Looking at that secondary. If we get some good play back there we should have a nice season and a warm weather bowl. I am highly optimisitic

Looking out the window and I see some darker clouds which means a shower or two. Our temperature will range from 72° to 88°. We can expect a nice breeze most of the day. The humidity is typical for this time of year.

I will refill my coffee cup and get to what ever it is I am suppose to do today. Until I have another cup I disremember what that was. :boom: Get Well RR
