I had a hole in one in a green sprinkler valve. Of course the hole for the valve was 50 feet away from the flag.
Not yet, still trying to pull things together. Going to Sportsdrome to watch that 100 lap figure 8 with family wildlings tonight.
Any chance of a wreck?

I have a nephew in-law that races there. I've been there a handful of times to watch him race. It's a hoot!

Today's fishing report: WarriorCat 2---LMB 1. Did not keep today's. One was about 3 pounds or so and the other under 1.
Driving school Rich family vs Vincents tonite. (100 laps)
Dad used to take me to the fairgrounds for roundy round racing and out to Ohio Valley for the drag racing. We went a lot during the 60's and early 70's. My uncle raced a 60 Ford F100 at OV so we got to hang out in the pits quite a bit. Great environment for a young impressionable youth.
Why don't you find you a day when you can go with me to play at Ben's super nice course in Ashland?
I got lucky and hit a towering shot right at the pin. It was basically coming straight down when it hit. I drove a par 4 today in a scramble but it was about 30 feet from the hole. Double eagle is my next objective.
We started on #6. It's always a shotgun start.
I didn't see anything UK related in the picture.

Played a scramble today. We shot -10. One guy is 75, one is 72, I'm 59 and one of the guys wife is 55. There were no gimmicks involved so 14 under is a really good score. That's what won and 13 under was second. We were tied for 4th out of 30 teams.
The best part though is that we had a great time. We've all known each other for over 30 years and played golf together many times. It never gets old though. Love those guys.

Checking in D-League. Back from the beach and back to reality.
Had a great week. Spent some hours on the beach at night with my son just watching the skies. Saw several shooting stars and one unexplained phenomenon - something way high about the brightness of a medium star. It moved at a brisk clip like a satellite, which is what I thought it was, across about a quarter of the sky. Then it stopped, stayed still for a few minutes, then started making sharp cuts in all sorts of directions. This went on for quite some time, then it vanished. Military satellite? High altitude drone? Who knows. Well maybe Catinil...

Thanks ymmot but I haven't played since 2001. I gave my clubs away years ago. Just a spectator these days.
Could have been the X37B, robotic experimental military space plane. Launched as a payload it returns like the shuttle. Just a lot smaller than the shuttle. It has been up there 700 days on it’s latest mission.

Interesting thought. It certainly occurred to me that we weren’t that far from the Dover Air Force Base. It’s an air mobility command base and of course KIAs from Central Command operations including Iraq and Afghanistan come through there. But could there be other, more experimental things going on there? Not likely. But possible I guess.

There is nothing I enjoy more than a good car show. I grew up when the automobile was King of the Road and it got in my blood with the help of my dad. He was a Mercury man and had some beauties.

Hey 41102, Tommy is coming to play Bellefonte in the next couple of weeks. You are close by. Do you play?
Not sure it's super nice. It's not Valhalla, but it has zoysia tees and fairways, with bent grass greens. So I would say it is nice, probably not super nice. Designed by Willie Parks, Jr. in 1929. He won a British Open. He also designed Olympia Fields, and Sunningdale, in England. Bellefonte is fairly short on the scorecard, but it has some uphill holes and some doglegs, which makes it play considerably longer than the card reads. It is enjoyable and I think you will like it.

Drinking a mighty fine cup of coffee this morning. Should get me going soon. Today is "Wear Your Team Jersey Day" at church. UK will be represented.. Our pastor is a football fan and sometimes he has a football in his hand when he preaches and will throw it into the congregation. He says it is to build team spirit but I think he sees someone nodding off and is waking them up. Just kidding about that. But he stands 6'5" and has a pretty strong arm.
Expecting another August day. Temperatures from a current 74 to as high as 90. We will have scattered showers in the area and it depends on which side of the road you are on if it gets you. Trust all have a great day

The team from Bowling Green won their regional and are now headed to the LLWS. Non stop little league action the last few days, resuming Thursday at the main event.
80° at the shanty as we venture our way up about 90° today. Hopefully some pm thunder boomers will develop and provide a little relief. Been thick out there recently.
