Good evening D. Well I hit another one tomorrow #68. Mrs. M fixed one of my favorite meals for me tonight for my birthday, just simple hamburger, taters, onions and mushrooms baked in foil. Great supper topped off with her delicious naner pudding!!! I took her out and got her a blizzard for helping me work on the deck! I hope ya'll have a great rest of the evening!!! Prayers for Sarah and her family! Hits home to because my granddaughter is 14!

Block party today was hotter than hell. You could cut the air with a knife. I forgot how dumb it is to drink beer on hot pavement when the heat index is near 100.

Good Sunday Morning D League
Waiting for the sun to come up, drinking some very good freshly ground coffee and thanking the Lord for another day. I am fighting what feels like a sinus or ear infection on the left side of my head and that sure sounds crazy the last day of June with temperatures 90 degrees. I blame it on ceiling fans and air conditioning both of which I am allergic to. I have my annual physical on Wednesday so I will ask the doc about it then.
We are expecting a typical day down here, warm temperatures and probably thunderstorms. Just like yesterday and the day before Meanwhile I am going to drink a second cup of coffee and get ready for church. Expecting a good service with friends of family.
I will be saying a special prayer for Jared Lorenzen and Miss Sarah, precious daughter of UKGrad93. May God be with both as they fight the biggest battle of their young lives.

My swollen knee was giving me real discomfort last night to the point it took a while to sleep. But this morning it felt pretty good, and the swelling was down — so I figured I could hang with my daughter for a few miles on a morning jog. It’s back to melon size and aching like a bad tooth.

You know the old saying about doing the same thing and expecting different results? I know what you are going through. Had to have both mine replaced. Best thing I ever did, but you can't jog. Guess that is a secondary benefit.

I know I know...been about a week
Really rough day today. Was a year ago today that we lost my Dad. There are so many joys and blessings in our lives right now, and I’m grateful to God for them and thank Him for them.
But today...my heart is heavy. I miss him so much and I wish with all my heart that I had been able to tell him one more time how much I love him.

Good morning from Shawanee, TN. Currently, we've got a lovely 69°F going with clear sky.
Long trip out here. I stopped in Arkansas Friday. Traffic jams in Waco and Dallas.
Visited granddaughter last night. We had fun. Hope I can visit Knoxville a little more this trip.

Good morning D! Thanks for all the birthday wishes!!! I had a great healthy breakfast of fruit this morning! Grape jelly, Strawberry jelly, Lemon pound cake and water melon!!! Prayers for those who need them this morning!!!
One of my moms best friends always sends me a birthday card, I called her to thank and, we ended up talking about how much we miss her!!
I hate to even say this but, we went Friday to buy a new mattress and the lady waiting on us says, ya'll want to lay down and try it out? I couldn't help be laugh for a second after this evil thought goes thru mind mind!!! The saleslady turns her back and I get and I get an elbow in the side from Mrs. M and she says STOP IT! Got he mattress anyway!
I hope everyone has a great day, also headed to my sisters house after church, she's fixing my birthday dinner. New red taters. new green beans and pot roast!! Going to be a great day!

Finally got a good watermelon yesterday. Walmart. $1.99. Gonna pick up another today.
Still waiting for good sweet corn.
Nearly impossible to find garden tomatoes out here. No farmers market close. I've tried planting my own but with no success.
Looks like Don, Sawnee and myself will all be 76 at the same time (me in a few months). Triumvirate (first time I have ever written this word) of patriarchs?
