Good morning losers, and you too uk82.
Got my coffee in hand and have been awake for less than an hour. Slept good last night.
If the incident had occurred near the finish line and prevented an obvious win by another horse, then yes, DQ. But what happened, as small as it was and the location it occurred with a quarter mile to go, then no, it did not affect the outcome of the race. They must not have taken the condition of the track into consideration or the fact that the horses don't understand a concept like "lanes".
I was happy with being a few dollars up for the two days and hit the derby bets harder than I would have if we had lost going in. I didn't have 13 either though so the outcome didn't change for me with the liberal ruling.
Someone got their feelings hurt and something had to be done. As we all know, feelings are the only thing in this world more important than reality.
