I remember this well as a sophomore at UK. Several friends were there. 1979.

A friend and I went there that night. We didn't have tickets but thought we would buy from someone. Got there and saw all the people standing around outside and decided to just leave. Didn't hear about what happened until the next day.
Outta here, hafta get up early. Doctors office called today and changed Dad's appointment from 1030 to 0930. Probably be there most of the day tomorrow. See ya.
Most of the concert goers didn't know about it until the next day. My buddies didn't, of course they were too wasted to remember the show anyway.
