The period from 1973-1977, with a few exceptions, was out right bizarre from an automotive standpoint. Pacers, Gremlins, ect. Chrysler still built tanks, and passed them off as cars. Ford and GM were not much better.
Ha ha. I remember. Good lord, talk about thousands of lbs of inefficient metal. 318, 360, 400 and 440.I owned one of these tanks for about 7 years.
That's beautiful. Love these.I owned one of these tanks for about 7 years.
My grandfather had one tooI also owned one of these 74 Chevy Caprice for less than a week. You could actually see the gas gauge needle moving down as you were driving it. Unloaded that sucker fast.
My Dad owned a Mark III (black) and Mark IV (white). Back then, his Texas business was booming! Hence the reason I became a life-long Dallas Cowboys fan.
One of the finest cars I ever owned. Biggest gas guzzler too.
That's what I was driving at 16. 440 with a double-pumper Holley. We called it the Party Room. I took my driving test in that huge sucker and had to parallel park it for a cop. Probably got about 10mpg.I owned one of these tanks for about 7 years.
Who that is?Speaking of the Kentucky Colonels, remember this guy? Heh.
Babe "Magnolia Mouth" McCarthy. Old school. 4-6 against Coach Rupp when he coached the Rebels. He coached the Colonels for a bit before Hubie Brown. And Hubie Brown is the commentator for this game (Spurs vs Grizzlies) that we're watching tonight. One of the Harrison twins plays for Memphis.Who that is?
I met him in BG in 98 when he brought the Racers to town. Seemed nice enough.I met Mark Gottfried once at the SEC fanfare venue in Atlanta. Truly a nice man. He was entertaining his two little daughters.
Babe coached at Mississippi State. He coached Bailey Howell.Babe "Magnolia Mouth" McCarthy. Old school. 4-6 against Coach Rupp when he coached the Rebels.
