Right now he sits in third behind only Larry Brown (19-6; .760 win percentage) and Coach K (82-26; .759 win percentage). Cal is 43-14; .754 win percentage.

With a championship he guarantees that he passes Brown and K, even if either makes the championship game and loses. In that case, he would be at 49-14 (.778). Brown would be at 24-7 (.774); K would be at 87-27 (.763).

Even without a championship he could pull it off with a trip to the FF or title game and K finishing a game or so behind.

Yes this includes the UMASS and Memphis vacated years (suck it haters). And also, no jinx.

So Cal is 43-14 not counting the 1996 UMass or the 2008 Memphis teams. UMass was 4-1, Memphis 5-1, or 9-2 total. If you count those, he's 52-16, or 76.47%.

Is there a less respected institution in the country than the NCAA? Isn't credibility the very first thing to consider when weighing something like this? oh, well, nevermind that, it's a different fight. Point is, CJC has been remarkably successful, and not always at powerhouse schools, obviously. I didn't really think we'd ever have a period in my lifetime more successful than what we enjoyed under Pitino. And yet, here we are, with a coach with even better results, not even a generation later......

Link broken? Can someone post a link. I would like to take this to haters

Coach Cal is a beast.

I think he really should stay here at UK to really cement his legacy.

Coach Cal is insanely good coach. To be honest, i'm really shocked at how good is. What he lacks in his career is STABILITY. if he can gain that AT UK. Oh boy...

Cal is 15th on the all time win percentage. Pitino is 32nd I believe. Tubby is around 100. The first two guys on the list were from a long time ago. Rupp is 3rd and I think Cal will catch him soon.

Shooters are judged by their percentages. Sounds like Cal should be in the Hall of Fame soon.
