Idk I think someone said it was personal - didn’t someone say his significant other had covid?I think there is more to it than that. He's been out 4 months now.

Yeah but that was back in January or February.Idk I think someone said it was personal - didn’t someone say his significant other had covid?
That was actually a loser leaves town (well, WCW)That’s like Brian Pillman / yellow dog - right ukwildcat?
Nobody remembers because that was NEVER said. They said they were an alternative to wwe and that they wouldn’t sign someone just because they’re ex wwe. They’ve stayed true to both statements.Remember when they first started aew and they’d continually say they were going to ignore the wwe, blah blah
This is such bs as well. People like you love throwing out that number from the debut and say they haven’t grown since. After the first couple weeks they settled into the 600-700k range. They’ve absolutely grown from that. They were trending up getting closer and closer to a million right before Covid. Ratings took a hit when no fan shows started. They eventually came back up and had been in the 900k-1.2m range before they got bumped off Wednesday for the nba playoffs. Their year over year rating numbers have been up for quite awhile. They’re also getting 1.5-1.7m viewers with dvr added. Not to mention their subs on Twitter and YouTube continues to go up, up over 2m subs on YT.I’ll never watch, but it’s still incredible that in two years, they haven’t grown their fan base whatsoever.
I was out a month or so ago with several guys that like wrestling. They were shocked that AEW, a National program, has the same viewership as the old Memphis territory alone.
They’re nothing like tna. A subtle shot every so often means nothing. Takes 2 seconds to come up with. It was well documented they never watched nxt on monitors backstage when they were head to head. They aren’t concerned with wwe. They remind me of TNA circa 2010. Rather than focusing on building their product, they focused on taking pot shots at WWE, yet also spent a lot of money bringing in and pushing ex WWE guys.
It’ll probably take several weeks to build back up to where they were before they got bumped to Friday’s.Dynamite did 649,000 viewers on Saturday night, not too bad. Will be interesting to see what the number is when they go back to Wednesday.
He’s mentioned on Twitter that he really wants to tell everyone what’s been going on but he can’t. So I’m guessing something stupid has been going on behind the scenes.Does anyone know what's up with Keith Lee?
I love the idea. Would be a great story plus Omega and Cody would have a great feud/match. But AEW bashers would throw a fit saying Cody went back on his word and he’s just pushing himself yet again... HHH... blah blah blah, the usual garbage they spew regarding him.AEW idea. Seriously.
Cody can't challenge for the AEW World Championship.
Next Dark...
Midnight Rider debuts (Tony buys the song). 3 months later, 3rd match on Dynamite.
Never on screen with Cody.
Wins match to challenge....
Omega and Callis go nuts.
It tells a fun story and pays tribute to Dusty

As for the comment about signing and pushing a bunch of wwe cast offs... 😂. The AEW roster is at 101 wrestlers. 20 are former wwe. I believe that’s including ones like Tay Conti and Nick Commoroto who AEW made. All except 3-4 of the ex wwe wrestlers left wwe on their own even though wwe tried to re-sign them.
So that leaves 81 wrestlers who are homegrown or never spent time in wwe.
They pushed some former wwe guys early on because they had name recognition but that clearly stopped long ago. Every title was held by an AEW original up until the last few weeks when Miro won the tnt title. It’ll likely be awhile but he will most likely be dropping it to a homegrown guy. Omega will likely be dropping the AEW title to an AEW original as well.
So the comparison doesn’t fit at all.
...but he ain't wrong. 2021 AEW is like 2010 TNA? They were both wrestling feds, both employed Young Bucks and Sting. After that, pretty much they have jack sh!t in common. Horrible take. The Zay AEW spin cycle always makes me chuckle
Dear Lord I wish I could unsee that.
I also don't understand the need for so many "factions" in the AEW. You have The Elite, Dark Order, Nightmare Family, Inner Circle, Team Taz, The Pinnacle, QT Marshall's faction, The Hardy Family, Best Friends, The Pretty Picture and that doesn't include Jurassic Express and Death Triangle since they only have 3 members. It just seems like overkill having that many to me.They take shots at WWE on their TV fairly regularly. TNA did as well. They signed a bunch of WWE cast offs. TNA did as well. It’s a valid comparison.
I’m not a WWE fan. I’m a wrestling fan. AEW and WWE both have good and bad aspects. My current preference of the 4 major TV products is Smackdown >> Dynamite >> NXT >> Raw
WWE’s storylines are too vanilla. Many are retreads. NXT talent usually flounders on the main roster. Too much 50/50 booking. Heels have no real heat. RAW has too much filler and should drop to 2 hours. The scripted promos usually suck. Thunderdome is a sterile environment.
AEW’s hyper defensive mark fanbase is annoying. Some of their booking is questionable. Marko Stunt getting any kind of offense on grown adult wrestlers is embarrassing. Hard to determine babyfaces and heels and/or too many face/face or heel/heel matches.
If I could offer advice to each company:
WWE: Ditch the scripted promos, give talent talking points and let them fill in the gaps. Build angles for months, not month-to-month.
AEW: Slow down. Sell high impact moves for more than 3 seconds. Every match doesn’t need 7 dives to the floor.
I think they are going to do a six man title at some point.
Like a lot of things probably just waiting until they are back in their normal time slot.
I don’t remember who said it but you have to think they have something planned for tonight. Surely Vickie isn’t actually wrestling.
Hopefully it is the former Zelina Vega.
I read somewhere that the issue was that both he and WWE have tried to trademark the name Keith Lee and until that is resolved in the legal system, he isn't being allowed to compete.Yeah but that was back in January or February.
You either willfully ignore times I’ve criticized or disliked things they’ve done or just haven’t paid attention. They just get more right than wrong therefore I praise more than criticize. You act like it's a one-off.
It would be easier to take him seriously if he said one negative thing about AEW. No company bats 1.000
Yet you would think they are doing things no one else has ever done and it's changing the industry.
No, it's not.
This guy was in ECW. A company that took shots at the competition in nearly every segment.
So was Black. Vince just doesn’t know how to use his guys anymore. He just wants to push Roman and live off of Cena and Lesnar’s name.I think there is more to it than that. He's been out 4 months now.
Zmark responseJr’s older and will slip up. I’m sure a lot of the stuff he says is habit that he’s had to break. Was it good, particularly after that great tribute video? No. But shit happens. Sit on it and spin. 🙄
Yup. I was there.Del headlined that show in louisville in late 97 with Bret, if I remember correctly.
I would speak privately with him on Facebook and was a good guy…I was really good friends with former wrestler Terry Garvin and they were good friends. He overcame a lot of addiction and was a stand up guyThe Patriot Del Wilkes passed away, he was 59.
Apparently Sonjay Dutt, who had been working as a producer in WWE resigned a while back and is now with AEW.
Speaking of AEW Dynamite did 883,000 viewers in its return to Wednesday.
"Even when Jon left, there were times that Hunter pulled me aside because Jon was injured when he came back from New Japan. [Triple H] kept checking in to make sure that Jon was okay.
"If he needed anything, they [WWE] would have been able to help him in any kind of capacity. So it was nice to know that that olive branch was still extended, and it wasn't that heat-seeking thing that everybody thinks that it is. We've all spent so much time together, and nothing bad went down."
I was too! That was also the first HBK-Taker match.Yup. I was there.
You most definitely rode the short bus to school.Zmark response
If/when you have kids and they get a bad grade 100% you will blame the teacher
7th grade grammar level - at bestYou most definitely rode the short bus to school.
Young people in their prime mess up on live tv. So it’s fair to assume that someone much older, who spent 20+ years saying certain names and words, will mess up and revert to old habits at times. Not rocket science nor is it even a big deal. If it happened every week then something would need to be said or done.
