For those that don’t think Cal is trending down, please tell me which way you think he’s trending and why. Is he the same as he ever was? Trending up? Why do you say that?

We will see which way Cal is "trending" when they give him a fair shake. Tonight's officiating was straight out of WWE. No coach in the world can work in those conditions. I don't blame Cal for the L, I blame him for not speaking out louder against the criminal cartel known as NCAA. Guess that fat paycheck isn't something he's willing to risk

Today you are in a game against a ranked team on the road that UK still had a chance to win despite getting outrebounded and had 20 less free throws. Cal actually put the team in position to win despite all that went against them.

I’ve definitely voiced my opinion when we win, just not in this thread. We haven’t exactly looked good in many wins either.
just can't imagine logging on to bump a thread to "I told you so" others after the team I claim to cheer for loses a game on the road to a good opponent.
No team goes undefeated. Picking a game where our strategy was fine and we lost to a good team isn't evidence of anything.
I hope your 6 year old isn't as irrational and starved for attention as you are, but if dad runs to the internet to gloat about a loss, maybe mom is a great lady.

I have asked a perfectly fair and reasonable question. And, contrary to what you might think, I’m perfectly happy to listen to a rational argument. Which way is Cal trending, in your opinion, and why?

Certainly not recently since you started this thread. Checked the history and last Saturday your opinion was Kentucky and Cal still suck.
Since Vegas when Kentucky looked like crap, Kentucky is 8-2. Lost on buzzer beater and lost today in game they could've won despite the circumstances. I do believe that's trending up.

But did speak to the fact that is wasn’t the impressive win that so many here claimed it was. That’s a team that will lose 12-14 games.
You lost credibility when you said Tubby won with Pitino's players, you can have the players in the world and still not win, its takes a great coach, play calling, adjustments and luck....

This is true. That is much worse at the moment.
But both of our seasons will end in disappointment.
To say that Tubby won with Pitino’s players isn’t to say that dude could not coach at all. Clearly, he took advantage of the talent he had and won with it. But, also clearly, he never won it all with his own team.
Cal has had all kinds of talent and just keeps failing miserably. Especially in the last 5 years.

It's not crazy to claim that Cal is being very inflexible with his approach to the game... Especially considering we saw the assistant coaches implement a very different game plan with quite a bit of success at Arkansas

Guess because of no final 4 in his given time frame of 5 years. In that case coach k is trending down at a faster rate...no? More talent and just as many "miserable fails" in the last 5 years.

I love Cal. We def win more than we lose but his ability to make in game adjustments drives me nuts. But..... hagans leads the team and when he plays bad the whole team sucks. It what it is. And he sucked big time tonight.
I think when Cal decides to start building a program, and not betting on 6-8 draft picks, he'll have better success. At the least he won't be caught with lack of depth or not being able to sit kids who don't bring the effort. His 7-8 men are not going to cut it. W
Oh, i agree. He needs to adapt. But he can't, because he didn't. He's stuck. Next season will tell the story about whether he's really serious about his NIT comment.
