Cal to Michigan heating up...

Does anyone still move to Michigan on purpose. I was thinking of vacationing there this summer to see the lakes. Thought if it got really hot this summer I'd go north for once. Hopefully Cal can point out some stuff to do up the besides a dispensary trip.
I lived in Northern Michigan for years. Its beautiful. I would recommend going to Petoskey...Its close to Mackinac Island, Sleeping Bear dunes and one of the my favorites the inland lake waterways.

I go up there about 4 times a year for … reasons. I went last summer and loved it. It was 80 degrees and windy. The locals were commenting on how hot it was. I thought it was cute considering it was about 92 with 1000000 percent humidity here. I would imagine the opposite is true in winter.

He has a "lifetime" contract, what does he want to be paid after he's dead now? A lucrative deal for his children and grandchildren as coaches in waiting? I mean how much better can Mitch make it?
It’s not a life time contract. Been explained many times on this board.

I hope he goes. But if he does, just be prepared for him to take the entire recruiting class with him.

Next year won't be pretty. But I'm OK with that.
Good riddance to those 18yr old kids. A real coach, with UK's resources, can use the portal to immediately build a better team than what Cal will be putting on the floor next year.

If he were to go, it wouldn't bother me at all as to he took with him. he would have players leave from there or wherever he went just like he has had here. If the class is only committed to him let them go, this is Kentucky, no coach or player is above the program, regardless of what Cal thinks.

You'd keep Perry at a bare minimum and we'd bring in a top tier coach who would bring some of his recruits and maybe other players. Also the portal with UK's NIL would make it a whole lot easier on a new coach.

No doubt. Far north Michigan is absolutely gorgeous in the summer, you won’t find a better combination of forests, lakes and good fishin anywhere in the lower 48.

If only its winters weren’t so miserable.
I’ll never forget the first time I head someone call it the U P and I was like what?

You learn something all the time.

I can’t see it but who knows. They hired the other older coach from West Virginia. If things are unstable there, they may be looking for an older, experienced coach so it’s possible.

I'm sure they have all the types of fish with toofers, but do they also have largemouth bass? I'm not very good at fishing, but I've always associated Kentucky with largemouth for some reason.

The toofers have to have something to eat dont they?

Yes they do

Here is the thing, Knox and Richmond can be replaced in the portal easily, I am not saying they will not be good players at some point but in a one year situation we can get better players (that basically goes for all of the Freshman).

Kentucky and about everywhere else. Largemouths are in every single state except Alaska. It’s like the most American fish of them all.

But they do grow bigger and thrive more in the South.

What we need to do is find a way to make Cal think the NBA (a team or admin) wants to hire him as something really cool sounding. Get the deal done on paper and get his moving expenses scheduled and covered. Move his asp into a casino in Vegas for a month because his house is still being finished...

Look at the guards for Uconn and Illinois for Example, there is no way Reed, Rob, DJ, Fland, etc. will be as good as those guys as Freshman. Cal could have prob brought all of those guys in even as backups, but we have Freshman backing up Freshman lol, at least try and balance the roster.
