I am nutty enough to be checking this site between bands lol
I've been critical of this situation and I'll HAPPILY eat some crow if he comes back and proves me wrong like I've been millions of times before. I don't hide or backdown from things I've been wrong about on here or anywhere else in my life. I also don't apologize for being a crazy UK fan and wanting what's in the best interest of UK.
Just heard Zagoria on the radio a few minutes ago. Said the same thing. Nothing has been decided.
I still feel like I'm being set up for a huge letdown. I want to hear it from Diallo.
Sounds like a writer protecting his source he's had for however long. He still wants to be in that Diallo inner circle
My hopes are not up yet. It could just be the the Nets aren't interested, which is far from him coming back. He seems like he absolutely does not want to be here unless he has to. I'd still rather have CAM but that's just me.
I, for one, have not been critical of anyone involved with this particular situation. I have also said from the start, and then I thought that he would come back. This was mostly guess based on his ratings on draft xpress.
All of that said, I don't know that this warrants eating crow. Eating crow typically means that you doubt it someone's skill or ability, and they proved you wrong.

I just don't get this line of thinking.
No one in the draft would've even considered Cam Johnson in the first round.
He's an established shooter, buddy. Diallo is not a and ummmmm, he will be our shooting guard.
Some posters on this board think if you can shoot better than another player then the better shooter is automatically better. It's pretty insane.
So if he comes back will he be "ready" to play? Or another year of practice?
The majority of All-American players would rather be in the NBA than school given the chance. The majority of elite level prospects will almost always mention how their ultimate goal/dream is to play in the NBA. I wouldn't take it as a personal slight against the school in question.
Oh I don't take it as personal against me or UK at all. I just think he sat through a semeester of class and wants nothing more to do with it unless he has to...just like I did.
So you have an elite athlete, who can improve as a shooter, versus an above average shooter who probably won't become a better athlete.
We have him for one year. I'd LOVE to have Diallo, but would rather have experience, which we have none of and an established shooter. Watching Briscoe try to improve as a shooter as a Freshman was not fun. Name a title we've ever one with ZERO experience on the team?
Diallo has experience practicing against fox and monk and knows what Cal wants in practice. I don't get the no experience argument.
LOL, he's got 1 semester of practice experience. Yeah, that counts as bigtime college basketball experience. LMAO.
I'd rather have Diallo, I'd rather have our original recruiting class which is one of our best intact than replacing one of the five stars with a transfer. That said, I'd love to have Johnson too.
