AR fans, prepare for this to be normal, at least it was for us.
In my contact with Arkansas fans in both football and basketball I feel they are the worst fan base I've personally encountered in the SEC. I don't feel bad for them at all nor do I feel they deserve better. Hope they and Cal fall flat this season. Odds for that might even be in my favor.

That may be true. But, I just meant, in general, Arkansas fans know good basketball. Even the casual Arkansas will see through Cal's BS real quick. Cal would have a longer run at a school who's fans don't really know basketball. Places like Ole Miss, Miss St, or Tennessee.
That’s one of the reasons I found his move to Ark so puzzling. It’s not the pressure cooker of UK, but it still has its own high pressure- especially with what he is being paid. If he drops a no name game at Bud, he’s going hear the same stuff he heard in Lexington.

Hate to say it but Ewetee does know what good basketball looks like lately, but that's only because of Barnes. However, historically speaking, it would take them a hair longer to abandon ship. It really is wild how many opposing fan bases took shots a Cal (some quite deserved) and then are giddy when they pick him up. I think UT would have avoided him if they were looking.
I agree. Just taking a shot at the Vols. In my head, a couple of the voices chuckled.
By all means, continue. I can't stand them. And we still own them on the court. By a great deal.
But they've seen a lot of Cal's.......quirks. And I don't think they'd put up with it. Barnes likes to choke in tourneys but he's a decent coach.

Which tells me they aren't that good. Cal aways has a built-in excuse(s) if he thinks they will look a lot less than what he was promising.
It's how con men roll, and we still have many here who never caught on to his smoke and mirrors.

They have had a lot of free time to watch basketball on tv since their teams doesn’t play late in the season last 20+ years.
I heard his mom made him follow Cal but he didn't want to go. Looks like mom won out.
And am I just imagining this or was Z seen at an Arkansas baseball game late in the year and when the fans started Callin The Hogs, he looked like a fish out of water? Didn't that happen?

By the time we play them I can hear it now. They will lose to a mid major. Have a couple key players on the shelf with mystery injuries. Somebody's gonna be mad about promised playing time. Somebody's going nna be in their ear telling them their not playing their natural position. Gonna come to Rupp and get spanked and the coach is gonna say well UK is so experienced and older we're too young to win a game like that right now.
cal is even inconsistent in his overprotection. he let players (tyty, for instance) play hurt so that they never got back to 100% the rest of the year. he gets excited when a guard shows that toughness, then will sit a guy for a month over anything.
Im convinced now that COW is the Anti-Coach.
Ask him a question about zone, he talks about brownies. Gives a scholly to a great, in-state player, he's relegated to the bench. Player shoots lights out one season and wants to come back, he's pushed out the door or doesn't get a phone call.
