Alabama - Michigan Texas - Washington

I don’t care for the play call but I can understand the reasons.

Milroe is best runner and playmaker so you want the ball in his hands. Michigan is in cover 0 the previous two timeouts and you use motion to get one more out of the box. With QB running you gain an additional blocker. Bama had 7 vs Michigan 6 players.

Michigan just more physical at point of attack. They won the Oklahoma drill that won them the game. This team blocks and tackles so damn well. Harbaugh is a goober but his Stanford and Niners teams were similar.

Head scratching final play call there. Nothing was guaranteed to work, obviously, but that didn’t even really force the defense to make any decisions.

I don’t really understand all the hyping Georgia though. Don’t get me wrong, they’re still good, but past seasons don’t count for this year, and they pretty obviously weren’t as invulnerable this year even before they lost to Alabama straight up. Just going by the eye test, Michigan seemed to give Alabama more problems physically in addition to actually winning the game too. It just wasn’t the SEC’s year, which was bound to happen at some point.

Eh, best team is Georgia. Committe robbed them of a shot.
Well, they played one of these teams, and got legit beat by tonight’s loser.

Georgia may be the best team, but they didn’t get “robbed” of anything. They blew it in the game where they most needed to step up. That’s on them, not the Committee.

Well, who gets the blame, Saban, Rees, Steele, or Milroe. There were multiple unforced errors from Alabama, it looked like a total system failure, as bad as it was, they still had a chance to win.

I’m so old I remember when you had four years of eligibility.

How do you play 29 games and win the national championship twice in the same year, all prior to tonight?
How does Texas losing a home game during the regular season qualify them for the playoffs moreso than GA losing to Bama in the SECC.

They won their conference.
So did FSU!!! They weren’t deserving of playoff though. Tough call this year but as I stated above this is why you can’t limit a playoff to just a handful of teams. Can’t wait for the 12 teamer to begin next year.

UGA probably is the best team, but they lost in what they had to know was an elimination game. The committee got it right.
