    We have no size at wr. Brown is a toothpick out there. They have emphasized speed at wr now all we have are small slot receivers that can’t block or make tough catches.

    What system did Leary play in? Maybe his stats are a little inflated? Did he play against us in Belk Bowl? I remember the broadcast hyping NC State QB, but he looked pedestrian against us.

    Goodwin Enters Transfer Portal

    Playing for Brohm isn’t a walk in the park. Goodwin will be looking for another school next offseason. They are buttering up Vaughn, but the kid won’t last. Brohm is very old school, hard ass.

    Part of the problem could be how complicated the scheme was I.e. Levis calling wrong protection half the time.

    Red zone offense?

    If you can’t run the ball and you don’t have a big outside receiver ala Ahmad Wagner/Dorian Baker etc … harder to get into the end zone. We had most success going 4 wide and trying to rub/pick somebody open this year in the red zone.

    My last Buford thread

    Buford was running first team all spring the suddenly disappears. We have to move horsey out of position and we play jager burton who routinely whiffed on blocks. Made two spots weaker.

    Jager has been pretty bad all season. Don’t understand Buford and Wilson not getting more run.

    Rodriguez is a beast to bring down, but he has average speed, not a great pass catcher and struggles picking up blitzes. We can find another bruising running back in the portal. Our last two running backs have been “the greatest running back in school history”.

    Why does this reatedly happen?

    If we go out and try to run Tennessee offense next year, it wouldn’t go well. Have to match your personnel. We have 8 little/quick slot receivers and a oline that can’t pass protect. We struggled with pass pro when we had Landon young, drake Jackson, fortner and kinnard on the same line...

    Positives . . . .

    We return a bunch of players on both sides of the ball. Find a tackle, center and QB in the portal and we will be bounce back next season.
