Yep, I am now ready for this era to be over. This is Stoops in a nutshell, almost perfectly.

Gotta come back and eat a little pigeon. Ain’t no crow on the menus yet. Georgia came in and shit the bed. Cats couldn’t capitalize on it and still ended up with a loss. I thought we were gonna go down by 40 or more. Stoops still deeds to be gone.

This seems like a good year to get plays off quickly with the advent of the QB helmet speakers. Any team that moves as deliberately as UK has the past two seasons will be at a disadvantage. Georgia Tech seemed to display that this past weekend when the defense shifted after the helmet speaker time elapsed, placing the OL and QB in a position of acting independently or searching the sideline for assistance. I think FSU’s OL coach was suspended, so that probably played a role in the ability to adjust.

That said, Gerald Mincey must have been messing with us this past week when asked if UK could move as fast as UT. He suggested UK would be getting plays to the line extremely fast. This is a guy who played for the Vols. Have Stoops and Bush been holding out or is Mincey just playing with us?

When the train whistle blows, I immediately look to see the yds to go.. It is getting way to common for opposing teams to get a first down. Credit to opposing coaches, 3rd and 11, guess what, the receiver runs a 13 yd route, its completed and first down. We blitzed for a few plays, was in the Qb's face and forced a punt, then what? No more blitzing. Its frustrating... They may have been only 3 of 8 on 3rd down, but those 3 led to back breaking points. People may want White gone, but I do not think it would matter since Stoops is a defensive minded coach and whoever the coordinator is, it would ultimately be a Stoops scheme. Rant Over..

As pissed as I am about how Kentucky played, I think Michigan fans and especially Notre Dame fans had a worse day than we did. And that saying something. Because I’m not sure I’m going to another game this year Kentucky plays.

I started looking for a hotel or Air B&B or VRBO for the weekend of Oct 11-13 and wow! Prices for that6 weekend are higher than nearly any other weekend I’ve seen in Lexington! Pope’s first BBM, football game and one of the last weekends for Keenland make for an expensive weekend stay! Most places were $300+/night, but I was able to find one that came to about $230 after all taxes and fees. Even with our nieces discount code from Marriott, the hotel I got was the best deal I could find.

This is as bad a UK team as I've ever seen, and I've seen every team since 1966. At a school that takes football seriously, Stoops would be gone by mid season. I've never seen a worse offensive line.
