It, at times, was torturous to endure. A complete cluster-**** of errors. The fans don’t deserve what we received this season especially from a coach who tried to escape last season.

I am now ready to continue to embrace this phenomenal UK Basketball team and Coach Pope and forget all about Stoops for a while.

Pope deserves all the love for the ride he’s already taking us on. I’m thankful that I’ve got that to look forward to.

Cheers to all who kept the faith this football season. It was brutal.

The next 3 teams have 2 losses and the last one has 3. I can't recall this many teams doing this well to start the season. Still about 3 or 4 head scratching losses, but not nearly as many as the conference used to lose.

Definitely going to be a huge battle this season. Losses to each other won't hurt near as much with how highly we are all ranked. I could see a number of 7+ loss teams get high tournament seeds and a few 10+ still getting bids. I'm guessing the conference champ will still have around 6 or 7 losses.

Mini update by Branham. Not sure if it’s behind a pay wall, but says he’s going the list to two soon with ont team leading. Has the most to say about UNC and UK. Reading the tea leaves, that school looks like the better blue.

I’m absolutely not holding out hope that Stoops turns this around. However, I was trying to think back if an analogous situation has ever been turned around.

I’m talking total fan animosity, losing recruits, noticeable decline in on the field product, etc. but then the ship gets righted and the program at least stabilizes, if not ascends.

I honestly can’t think of a single example, but am open to any info.


I would exclude coaches in the first three or so years, since those bad situations early on are usually out of their control

Obviously it's early so a lot needs to be worked out over the next few weeks. OSU and Clemson should be quad 1 wins for us. Our SOS is really really bad currently.

Good sign overall.

We went all the way across country and played a top 5-10 team, in their backyard. Got down 18 in the second half and won. While shooting 28% from 3. Coach Pope was brilliant in the second half.

Has Pope mentioned playing in any of the popular in-season tournaments in the future? Maui has been great to watch so far, would love to see UK participate in these again.

When KY starts looking for a new Head Coach he should be high on the list. He is the HC at Marshall and came from Saban’s staff at Alabama. He can recruit and would have KY playing inspired Football.

We really need a solid RB from the portal. A RB who can play every down. Someone with power that can move the pile. Wilcox has potential but he's not going be a workhorse, fumbling questions. I don't see a lead back on the roster.

Should be sky high for the team:
A true road win vs a top 10 team and a perennial power.
Down 16 at the half.
Starting point guard, and in my opinion the team’s most important player, out with an injury.
Back up point guard goes out.
Your 3 slides to point.

But most importantly, the players should have great confidence in their coach.

...Stoops should be f__king ashamed!

Bowl games are slowing portal entries as well. This is just the first wave. I hope we keep looking for more experienced players, like Indiana Football did this past year. Happy Holidays!
