$8 Million NIL Deal

Been looking for a reputable report on numbers. This gives some insight on the ceiling:

“On Friday, a five-star recruit in the Class of 2023 signed an agreement with a school’s NIL collective that could pay him more than $8 million by the end of his junior year of college, The Athletichas learned. He’ll be paid $350,000 almost immediately, followed by monthly payouts escalating to more than $2 million per year once he begins his college career, in exchange for making public appearances and taking part in social media promotions and other NIL activities “on behalf of (the collective) or a third party.”

The player is never named but I assume it’s a DE, DT, or QB

Pope Appreciation Thread

What an unbelievable rollercoaster we have been on. From when Pope was announced, & the groans of disappointment throughout Big Blue Nation. Next there was the fan base anxiety that he wouldn't be able to land players. Pope comes in and has done damn near everything perfect. Beats Gonzaga and Duke within his first 10 games as Head Coach! Lands the in state studs, both last years and this years. He is really bringing back the program that we all know and love. A story book happening in real life right in front of our eyes. Thanks Pope for being here, we are sure lucky to have you.

This thread is for the matchup between the number 9 seed and 8 seed.

9 seed The Santa Clause, despite leading to the misspelling of 'Santa Claus' for several years, is a magical story of post-cocaine but pre-conservative (it's a joke. calm your tits) Tim Allen serendipitously falling into the position of the fat man in Red (not John Calipari. The other one.) We also get Judge Reinhold being kind of a dick.

Scrooged comes in at the 8 seed. Starring one of the funniest humans ever, Bill Murray, it's a grand re-telling of the famous Dickens' tale. Hijinks ensue. Good times are had by all.

Two A-list comedians from the 80s/90s in a battle for the chance to possibly get destroyed by a nearly 80 year old flick.

This thread is for the matchup between the number 2 seed and the winner of the 15 and 18 seeds game.

Probably the most-beloved Christmas of them all comes in at the 2 seed. Ralphie and his family share a heartwarming story of nostagia. Also, check out the mom from this movie in the movie Slap Shot. Definitely two number 1 seeds.

Friday After Next has an outstanding cast. While Ice Cube and Mike Epps are the stars, John Witherspoon steals the show. Katt Williams perfects his pimpin' character. It's a fun little romp.
