FB Recruiting OL Charlie Edgeworth commits to Louisville

Kentucky was in good shape after his official visit to Lexington but he was planning to visit VT and UofL as well.

Trip to Louisville must have gone well.

Between Edgeworth and Cameron Miller, who UK landed, I do believe that Miller was more of a priority because he has a better chance at playing tackle. But one Louisville must have done a good job with after the fact.

In the big picture, with Miller and Strickland on board, the OL class is still set up to be okay, but could have had it almost wrapped up.

Plenty of others, though.

Any of you mind sharing your IT backgrounds?

Realizing the mortal sin going on in this one for IT personnel but am curious...

I see some's post realizing many of you have good backgrounds without displaying them and while you do not state it, I recognize many of you have some serious expertise just watching you type...

I will start...

Not in any order but I have held or do hold these certs; (Most of the reason I let some certs go was the annual dough involved.) I am still training hard but getting near the end of it and will probably only keep one paying cert when all is said and done... (The $135.00 annual cert renewal for the CISSP.) (Those who hold them will realize which certs I no longer have due to the annual renewal fee's.)

Have held or do also still hold; SEC+, MCSE, MCP, MCP +I, CCNA, A+, Net+, AWS CP, MC AF, I have a few others but will stop there.... it was good training.... (This has been for well over twenty-five years so...)

Thanks for any responses, as I say, I am seriously contemplating finishing my public career soon and just working some on the side...

Worse game manager Mingione or Stoops?

Stoops breakdowns are well documented. But Mingione wow , position player who has modest stuff to pitch in an elimination game? Watching a freshman walk in runs late in the game ???
When the cameras showed Mingione face during the meltdown, he had the same lost look Stoops has. But Mingione just like Stoops was making excuses in the off season talking about this is a rebuild year. There are NO rebuild years in the SEC in the NIL era !

I’m sure someone will be along to tell me how great making post season 3 straight years is. And how I should be happy.

Jon Sumrall

I just met a former Tulane football player. Won't mention his name because of what we talked about but he was a starter on last year's team and just graduated. I told him I was a Kentucky fan and loved Sumrall. I told him I watched most of Tulane's games last season because of Sumrall and recounted a huge play he had made in one of the games I watched. He talked glowingly about his experience playing for Sumrall. And then he said, "you didn't hear this from me but rumors around Tulane say Sumrall is heading to Kentucky after next season." Just thought it was interesting and worth sharing that the Sumrall to Kentucky stuff isn't just wishful thinking and drubbed up by our fans. Even Tulane's locker room fully expects it to happen.

FB Recruiting Note on QB Matt Ponatoski

We mentioned before that Archbishop Moeller quarterback Matt Ponatoski had a very high interest level in Kentucky when he visited this spring. At the time Alabama and Oregon were not as involved as they had become.

Ponatoski has UK in his top four and I can confirm he is supposed to be visiting again.

Probably the top QB on the board along with Oscar Rios, who has also visited.

Wants to play both sports in college and it seems like UK is giving him a good opportunity to do that. The football side of the recruitment has been strong and I think the baseball side has come along to a point where the two-sport angle at Kentucky is a definite asset in their pursuit of Ponatoski.

Have also heard that there are some influential folks up that way who would love to see him at Kentucky.

And, if he were to commit before his senior season, I'm hearing the NIL piece could be VERY strong for him.
