Just watched the replay, and did I miss something, or did Dillingham have 2 FTs that were never added to the score?

At the 10:38 mark in the 2nd half with the score 73-47, Dillingham was fouled and went to the FT line. He sank both FTs, but the score never changed.

Anyone else notice this?

Not that it mattered in the outcome of the game, but it was weird.

I understand the argument about Shep not having superior athletic skills but he is still doing things I haven't seen done often. In one position he blocked a shot, then stole the ball after the offensive rebound, ran the ball up the court hitting Reeves with a perfect pass which he converted into a 3. May not be the same as a highlight reel dunk but I still think it was a wow moment.

Win at least 2 in SECT and we are a 2 seed at least.

Purdue, Big 12 champs and Arizona look like locks for 1 seeds. You can bet Duke will get pushed as a 1 (their schedule is a bit weak)

Remember, AP rankings are the best indicator of ultimate seed.

Did Clemson get an extra timeout in the second half. They had used one earlier in the 4th. Then they got the grounding penalty with 50 seconds left. They announced on the field that Clemson elected to take a timeout to avoid a 10 second runoff. Clock remains at 50 seconds but the graphic still shows 2 timeouts left. I assumed that was a mistake on the graphic. Then they called a timeout to stop the clock inside the 10. The graphic still left them with a timeout left. They should have had no timeouts and maybe they didn’t. But dabo ran the ball. That would have been a risky play with no timeouts.

Am I the only one who noticed this?

Can anyone explain this?

All the football recliner, usually negative, fans will be posting for awhile. Even though we lost I saw some great play from several young players today, which bodes well for the future. Thought Fearby show up well for a young player at a position of need.

I don’t know how good he will end up being at BB but he sure sounds like a quality man. Goose had him on the post game and he was just so humble and nice. Pulling for you Jordan !

This may ruffle a few feathers, but I'd like other's opinions. I constantly get requests for GoFundme accounts for people that are trying to send their kids over seas to study, or for their kid's honeymoon, or for travel sports. My personal thought is that I paid for my kids, you can pay for yours. We did fundraisers, but never just asked for donations. Make your kids go raise the money if you don't have it. I'm sure I sound like a curmudgeon, but I see too many people complaining about pan handlers on the street, but then pan handle online themselves.

First of all I want to apologize if this has been discussed. I was working at our local high school holiday hoop fest running the clock/scoreboard so I wasn't really able to watch the game. I did see bits and pieces during timeouts and such. When I got home as I was watching the replay I noticed on the game winning score by Clemson, it clearly looks like the lead blocker, #9 pulls the ball carrier into the end zone.

I know pushing a ball carrier from behind is now legal, but I looked up the NCAA football rules and it clearly says that NCAA Rule 9-3-2 says No teammate of the ball carrier "shall grasp, pull, or lift him to assist him in forward progress". Was this discussed either during the game or afterwards ?

Again I apologize, I just got home and didn't see anything in a thread title and I didn't want to try to sift through 51 pages of the game thread to see if it was talked about.

My goodness. Florida will kill us if we don’t put a little more effort into OR. Florida may lead the league in OR. They just throw it up and go get it. Started watching that specifically and our guys weren’t boxing anybody out. Just standing and watching the ball. Maybe we have done that a lot this year but WOW that was a bad effort.

The portal and declaration for the draft have destroyed bowl games. No player should be allowed to enter the portal until after the title game. If a player chooses not to participate in his team’s bowl game for draft purposes he should be required to pay back a full year’s tuition and room and board.

This may be a JRow question, but some of you guys may know the answer.

I know one of the things talked about regarding portal players is that you’re on the hook for the entirety of the 4 year scholarship for any transfers you take, so you need to be wary of taking a bunch of fliers on guys that might not pan out because you’re stuck with them.

My question is, what does this mean? With redshirts, grad transfers, Covid years, etc, eligibility is super confusing these days. So what’s our obligation to transfers? 4 years from their HS graduation date? For the duration of their entire eligibility? Only through the completion of their undergraduate degree?

Take a Jordan Robinson for example. We took him out of D-2 Livingston last year. To me it’s pretty obvious he’s not an SEC player, but how long are we committed to his scholarship? If he graduates, are we obligated to keep him on scholarship as a grad student? If he takes a Covid year does he stay on scholarship?
