In a new age of college basketball, Trent Noah is something of a throwback.

The former Harlan County all-stater had an interesting freshman season at Kentucky, playing in 24 of the Wildcats' 36 games and averaging 11 minutes of action as a key reserve off Mark Pope's bench.

And while his modest 2.7 scoring average had to be a shock to the system for a player who posted a gaudy 29.9 points per game as a prep senior, Noah did not ever consider the transfer portal. Many of his peers have, including former Kentucky "Mr. Basketball" and UK roommate Travis Perry, who departed Lexington for Ole Miss this spring.

Instead, Noah is playing the long game at his dream school.

"This is the greatest place on Earth, and I love coach Pope's vision for me," Noah said Monday at the Craft Center during the Wildcats' summer Q&A sessions.
"It's kinda still surreal to me that I get to wake up and put on Kentucky (gear). It's crazy, growing up watching it. I've been here 365 days, and it still feels like the very first time I put it on. It's special. It's like magic."

Global Climate Changes

An “unexpected” 14 degree drop in temperature between 2003 and 2018. Neptune’s 40 earth-year summer is confusing researchers. They expected a gradual increase in temperatures. Then, between 2018 and 2020, there was a raise by 20 degrees. This kind of polar warming has never been seen on Neptune until now. Neptune’s average temp is a chilly -340 degree Fahrenheit. Researchers still don’t know what is causing the temperature shifts.

Articles on another site: Marrow and Dane Key

Marrow's quotes are, quite honestly, embarrassing. 'We been knowing each other...', 'Me and him be ...', etc - just sounds uneducated. Maybe that's OK but struck me as disappointing.

Key stated that 'it was time for a change'. Mentioned 3 OCs and QBs in 3 years. But, he's playing at a completely different school with a different OC and QB at NB - how is that any better? Raiola will be better than Calzada, I'd bet, but it's still totally different. Not sure NB season will be much better than UK. Whatever.

BB Recruiting Live Period this weekend

Big high school camps going on across the country. Cody Fueger is in Phoenix at the Section 7. Lots of good underclassmen are there like Darius Wabbington who has heard from UK this week. Tajh Ariza is there as well as Toni Bryant out of Florida. He has heard quite a bit from the coaches, but they haven't offered yet. I'm sure there are several more they will be watching.

What are you doing Oldham County?

There is a proposed 6 billion dollar investment into a data center in Oldham County, setting the area up perfectly for high paying tehcnical jobs and Ai investment. Yet and a loud group of residents trying to prevent it. I’m not overlooking that some people will be annoyed by change, but this is everything that is outraging about Kentucky politics. Our state’s economic growth shouldn’t be hinged on people who opposed change because they like staring at farms. It’s ass backwards.

Thank you.

Oscar Tshiebwe makes NBA G league history......

An absolute rebounding machine like Oscar Tshiebwe, you would think that he could find a full time job on an NBA roster. I believe that it was Tyrese Haliburton that said that Tshiebwe is the greatest rebounder in the world...... If Oscar played starters minutes he would lead the NBA in rebounding. As far as scoring goes he would score a bunch of points off of offensive rebounds. I believe Oscar would average something like 15 points and 16 or 17 rebounds a game if he got the minutes.
