Where does Lamont's 33 rank on all time UL performances?

- 33 on 10/10 from the field. (7/12 Ft)

- 6/6 from 3. 6 asts. 3 reb.

- 32 minutes

- Put the team on his back

- Guarding Hepburn and Edwards kid we got in foul trouble....and Lamont helped with that. He drew quite a few fouls.

- Its clear we are a much better team when Lamont Butler is on the floor. I'm not sure if there's a exact metric for if your team is better or worse bc of you but I bet his is through the roof. Does a ton of little stuff in addition to everything else. Just a winner.

So where does this rank amongst some of the all time great UK performances against UL? Gotta be top 5. 33 on 10/10 shots is stupid efficient. Not sure I've ever seen anything quite like that in modern ball.

FB Recruiting Marshall LB Landyn Watson commits to UK

Honestly thought Watson would be the first commitment and mentioned as such earlier in the week, but Sam Greene pulled the trigger first.

Honestly think both of these are pretty solid adds if White thinks they fit well in the scheme.

Aike’s Model Update - 12/15/24

We were dinged up a little after a shaky but successful week.

Auburn’s performance to date is unprecedented in the time I’ve been doing this. More than ready for the SEC road to take a few bites out of them.

Reminder that a perfect score in this model is a 6. No one has won the tournament in my time doing this without scoring at least 2 going into the tournament.

This time last year, 14 teams were at 2.0 or better, vs. 19 this year. 35 teams were at 1.0 or better this time last year vs. 49 season.

Top team this time last year was Arizona at 4.02. Eventual champ UConn was in 3rd at 2.74.

Here’s the latest:

1. Auburn 5.10
2. Gonzaga 3.66
3. Tennessee 3.61
4. Duke 3.06

I have an unpopular take

I’m having a harder time hating this UL team. It’s always been easy to hate them. Their coach seems like an ok guy. Their players just play hard. They got away with a lot of fouls, but that’s on the refs
Obviously, I’m glad we beat them. Probably won’t think about them one way or the other the rest of this season.
