This will be a short thread because there's not that many. Surprising. I won't give my picks other than Planes, Trains and Automobiles because I want to see how far this can stretch out.

Stupid penalties. Bad routes. Pour outs defense

At Knoxville. Heupel's offense totally shut down after a long run on the first play of the game. The Dawgs are really good.

So sick of the undisciplined play that continues to plague this team. In the first 10 plays, We had 2 penalties and had to burn a timeout because we didn't have enough players on the punt team. And we let Rattler out of the pocket because we didn't stay in rush lanes. But at least we did try to bring pressure.

Surprised we are favored to be honest!

One of my favorites of the year. Not only is it rivalry week for football, but a lot of holiday basketball tournaments begin. Maui invitational has a dynamite field this year.

The early line has UL favored by 5.5 but they have also been favored the last 4 games and we know how that worked out for them. Three consecutive 30 point beat downs. UK has 4 loses to UT, Missouri, Georgia and Bama and not one loss to a team as bad as Pittsburgh.
Also U of Smell was fortunate to beat a 2 win Virginia team by 7 at UL that required a blocked punt in the Virginia end zone for the winning 7 point margin. They also struggled to beat bad Indiana and Georgia Tech teams as well.
Bottom line U of Smell is a laughable top 10 team and would almost certainly have at least 4 losses if they played UK’s schedule.
What say you fellow Cat fans or U of Smell fans as well.

Man Missouri just Man Handled UT today. I don't keep up with other teams recruiting but does Missouri just have so much more talent than UK to beat UT like that?

What may be most concerning is that a lot of these teams we are battling now have some of their worst classes as their current upperclassmen. Florida and UT are good examples. So it will be interesting to see where both stand when most of the players on the field are from these top 12 classes. And before people scream "Well they have more homegrown talent!" (which is true), both of Florida and Tennessee's current classes combine for their top 10 recruits being 16 of 20 from out of state. Thats why my excitement for this season was so high. Most of the upperclassmen from Mizzou, Florida, and UT were on par with our talent. It was a good year to try to take advantage considering we did better in the portal than most of those teams as well. But we unfortunately went 1-2 in those matchups. Just concerns me where we will be when UF and UT have a majority roster of top 12 classes.

7 of our 8 SEC opponents for next year are top 19 in recruiting for 2023 and/or 2024. Only 3 of our 8 SEC opponents this year were top 19 in 2021 & 4 in 2022 (would have been 2 & 3 if not for playing Bama this year). So essentially, the talent of our opponents is going to take a pretty big step over the next 2 years compared to our last 2 years.

Not to completely spew doom and gloom, but this year and last year were some of the most un-talented SEC rosters (beyond UGA) we have seen for awhile and the most untalented we will see for at least the near future. Just a complete bummer that we weren't able to take advantage of that fact.
