Thought the kid played really well and truly outplayed Wagner.

Also, the UT transfer Huntley-Hatfield played really good.

I thought UL played hard, but we have so many weapons.

It seems to me that reed Shepard is the epitome of guys who would benefit more financially by staying in college for three years than going pro. The nil for this guy will be open season. Never has UK had a player like him that is legacy of both parents who were stats. Reed can be a true Kentucky star. The kind of guy to lead the program and be a hero in the bluegrass. With the open season nil he should command millions easy in Kentucky. This seems to be the type of player to benefit most from nil.

If we have reed 3 years we will win a title in convinced. Cal was trying to sub in his victory cigars and reed knowing there was no stoppage or timeout being called committed a foul to get his teammates in the game. I’ll be honest if someone came and said “we have reed for 3 years if you chip in 500$ hell maybe even a 1000$” I would do it. This guy understands Kentucky basketball better than anyone on the court or benches. Maybe more than any of us. It’s been engrained in him to the point he is so aware of making everyone around him great. What a helluva kid so happy we have him. He could revitalize UK basketball. He has the aptitude to take us to a title in-spite of coaching. Hell cal may even learn a thing or two from him. He’s the type of guy to have profound impact on his team like no other. He ll never be an nba all star but three years in Lexington and he will be perhaps the most iconic player ever at Kentucky.

I really haven’t seen anyone talk about what I saw on the fast break 3 Reeves hit off the pass from Edwards.

Just as Edwards crosses half court, he glanced to his left to look at Reeves. To me, in that moment he had already made the decision to hit Reeves on the wing for 3 instead of trying to force the finish at the rim through the defender.

That was tremendously unselfish. With his struggles finishing, it would’ve been easy for him to force it, but he didn’t. He saw the defense not getting back to defend the wing and 2 defenders defending the paint and made the right play, the easy play for a wide open 3.

He’s going to continue to improve and yesterday was probably his best all around game since the season started and it could be the catalyst for him to really take off.

Hadn't spoke with him in a while but have to say I was very impressed with him. Sounded confident, mature, good perspective on his injury. Came away very interested in him, more so than before.

I think this game told us a lot about different aspects of our guys' "game". Not necessarily how they will do in the SEC or in March.

Shep - guy who does it all, on both ends of the court. If he keeps this up and polished what is already spectacular, he ain't coming back next year. Of all the guys who might leave, he's the only one I could see choosing to come back for unfinished business. I was grinning ear to ear when television crew started comparing him to the likes of Kerr and someone whose name escapes me.

Edwards - shut off his left side, if you're the opponent. Has a beautiful stroke.

Ugonna - could become a terror defensively.

Reeves - my goodness he can fill it up quick

Bradshaw - if he stops biting in everything and gains better court awareness, look out

Dilly - we should call him Flash. His first step and passes are just so quick

Mitchell - what can I say? Just quietly goes about his business, and soon they are going to have to come out and guard him which is great news for our guards cutting.

Wagner - I think he lacks upper body strength, or maybe is afraid of contact, leading to all the missed layups and rolls. The ability to get to the basket is most certainly there.

I love the rivalry, but it was over at the half. I also appreciate Cal relaxing and letting these kids play as they're suited to play. We should chip in to keep Kenny in red.

If we somehow convince Reed to stay another year, where it seems him and Rob are so close, is there any chance we could also somehow convince Rob to stay as well? I would donate a good penny to NIL to make it happen. Lol.

Honestly not sure what to write after this one. Pretty much exactly what you expected. Probably would have guessed they would have won by more if I knew they'd shoot 12/25 from three but they didn't really try to blow them out as hard as they could, I don't think.

This one had a weird feel with so many Kentucky fans at the Yum and the Cards having no chance of pulling the upset. They're not just bad, they're bad bad. Should never put a team that bad on the court at Louisville.

It was ugly to start the game for the first 10 minutes but Antonio Reeves was absolutely on fire. He was 9/10 FG in the first half.

Rob Dillingham did some crazy stuff in this game. In terms of creating, getting a shot off, making things happen, there aren't too many like him. Really not even about the defender in those situations, just have to hope he misses or messes up.

Thought Kentucky was pretty lackadaisical at times, probably even in a UK-UofL rivalry game not the easiest one to get up for.

I’m half joking, but part of me doesn’t like how chummy Vince was with Brohm in Louisville yesterday. He was very complimentary of him at the Hornung award ceremony and then was seen in the same section as Brohm at the basketball game. This coming after the rumors last year of him being interested in a job with UL.

UK's kicker commit will spend a month or so in Hawaii training during the coldest time of the year in Montana and will plan on competing for all specialist positions when he arrives in Lexington.
