Missed an opportunity to really rise in the Net 😉

That's a really tough loss for Kentucky. Vanderbilt isn't a bad team at all but when you erase that first half deficit and build a seven point lead only to see it get away, it's rough.

Instead of 4-2 in the SEC with the momentum of a road win, they're now .500 going to Knoxville and then Calipari in a game that might be emotional and unpredictable.

Kentucky's effort in the first half was unacceptable by any measure. In the second half they came out strong but it's hard to imagine things flipping so hard on a time as soon as they built their biggest lead of the game.

Lamont Butler was far from his best. One of his worst games of the season. Andrew Carr was out and that certainly didn't help.

Otega Oweh played hard and Trent Noah did as well. Otherwise it's tough to find guys who played at the level they need to be at for Kentucky to be its best.

We will say plenty of things about this game, but at the end of the day they had to wake themselves up at halftime to play good basketball for 12 minutes.

Tonight makes 5 of the last 6 games in Knoxville going to the CATS!

Overall we've won 4 of the last 5 and 6 of the last 9 games overall against the Vols.

For the whole narrative that Barnes has the Cats' number, he really doesn't seem to have the Cats' number.

Currently UK is behind both Kansas and Purdue in both the NET and the voter polls.

So why is this? I think it's pretty evident the unbiased NET weights too much the efficiency metrics. As for the polls, where there is clear potential for bias, I have no other answer than bias.

Comparison.
Lets look at how UK, KU & Purdue have performed (W's & L's). None of them have any "bad" losses. So that leaves "good" wins, and "understandable" losses.
First lets look at "good wins", listed in order for each team from best down.
UK has the best #1 win (since UT was Away & not Neutral),
UK & Purdue have comparable #2 & #3 wins,
and UK easily has the best wins #4, 5, 6, & 7.

Next lets look at losses, listed from best to worst:
The #1 loss is comparable for all 3 schools,
UK has the worst #2 loss,
& the #3, 4 & 5 losses are comparable for all 3 schools.

Do you believe that imbibing more than 1 drink per week increases your cancer risk by 10% for men and 16.5% for women, as has been reported?

Don't see them going down to Knoxville with this weak a$$ play and getting a W. Just a reality of a very difficult sec.

Probably as uncomfortable as Ive ever been watching a game. The two long reviews on Oweh took forever.

Did he touch the ball ?

Wasnt he fouled before he pushed off on the 2nd review?

I've been frustrated with him the past couple of games, but, yeah, he gets it. And we know he cares.

Duke and UL both in top 25, but how/why? Other than W/L records have they actually played and beaten anyone?

I thought he was fantastic. I know he didn't score, but he played great defense and gave us 15 solid minutes.

were Nick Roush and Jack Pilgrim on KSR. Everyone else I'd seen had picked UT winning and sometimes by a LOT. Props to those two guys. Bet they had fun last night and an absolute BLAST in Knoxville, if they were there.

7 people here did the same, picking the Cats to come out of Tennessee victorious even after that loss to Vandy Saturday. Need more fans like that!

I’ve watched a lot of games. I’ve seen a lot of great teams. It’s obvious that we have had more talented teams.
But I couldn’t be any happier or any more proud than I am of this team tonight.
