This thread is for the matchup between the number 7 seed and 10 seed.

Tim Burton does animated Christmas. What else can be said? It's damn near perfection.

The Muppets. Everything the Muppets are in is hilarious and this is no exception.

Another helluva matchup. Good luck.

Basketball INSTANT ANALYSIS: Cats knock off No. 7 Zags in Seattle

What a win for this team. They showed a ton of fight in the second half. They rose to the occasion as they did against Duke. Pope found things that worked after an ugly start.

Going in everybody was wondering about Lamont Butler's status and for good reason, given how they've looked recently with him in and with him out. And when we learned he was out it had to impact how you thought about the game. His impact on both ends hurt them in the first half but there were a lot of issues.

In the first half Kentucky failed to match the physicality of the Zags. Given how the Clemson game went that was obviously very concerning. Against better competition we have seen where the roster is not perfect in areas. But in the first half they were also out of sync and didn't look comfortable in what they were doing as they were getting beat up inside and on the boards.

Kentucky went on a great run coming out of the locker room to cut the lead to four. The Zags started the half 0/8 from the field and that allowed UK to fight back into the game. Kentucky really dominated the game during this segment. Carr was a big factor on offense during this time and Kentucky started to match the Zags' physicality better.

Andrew Carr was an anchor down low and gave them a ton, as did Jaxson Robinson, assuming a lot of the ball handling duties. He made some big shots. Gonzaga going 0/9 from three in the second half was big for UK coming back.

It's been a week. How do we look?

We will know exactly what this team has and does not have. A hostile road game at Clemson followed up by a dance with the Zags. It's either gonna shut some of these trolls up or depress an otherwise elated fan base. Gonna be a Malox Masher for sure.
I made this thread last week. In the time since we dropped one on the road and won on the road without our starting PG. The loss to Clemson should maybe come with an asterisk depending upon what you want to believe. Last night against the zags was 1998 esque.

This team has it's problems as has been pointed out, but I like what I see. They are legit final four material when they show up on point.

To add, I have come to really dislike Gonzaga players and their fanbase. To have won so little they certainly act like they have won everything.

KENTUCKY HC MARK POPE UK RADIO NETWORK Q&A:

* That team beat Baylor by 40 earlier this year. Think about that. To come in and beat them here was special.

* We were having no success with our defensive approach in the first half. They were tearing us up in ball-screen coverage. Their PG is so special, manipulating the floor. We were able to show some different morphed looks with the zone in the second half, allowed us to stay afloat.

* Oweh was so good on Nemhard in 2nd half.

* Robinson, Garrison were so good tonight. BG probably played his best game in a while.

* Guys had a huge emphasis on cutting away from the ball tonight, paid off late. Some real progress there. It's all triggered by getting downhill first before the defense can bump you off.

* Jaxson has played a little point before at BYU. Thought he was brilliant in that role tonight. Made some tough buckets in the lane. Defensive effort was incredible. He did a lot for us.

* Kerr's got a foot/ankle issue. We'll do some imaging on it tomorrow and see what it looks like.

* Gonzaga is so good at putting people away out here. Broke a streak of them winning 175 in a row when leading by 10-plus at the half.

* Listened to the guys at the half, wanted to know what they were seeing, wanted to offer our input on what we were seeing, sharing in that process of making adjustments.

* Rewarding to see us take a step forward from what we weren't able to accomplish at Clemson. It will be fun to break down this film. We've got probably a half-dozen cuts to show that freed up something. 100x better than we did at Clemson.

KENTUCKY G OTEGA OWEH UK RADIO NETWORK Q&A:

* This was about believing in each other, not paying attention to the scoreboard, and just continuing to fight.

* We've been working on that 1-3-1 in practice, and it even causes us some confusion at times. Nice to have that in our back pocket.
