Zion May be forced to testify on whether he took money from Duke

I’m saying there’s been zero evidence that anything against the rules happened. Maybe Zions family was able to rent that home from money provided by Adidas for the AAU program. Can you provide any evidence it was obtained against NCAA rules?

Lol. You’re channeling @Nooneputsbabyinacorner in dumbassery.

Cmon dude. We both know deep down you know Duke has paid players. Bagley, Zion etc. Not to mention Bagley and Duval, who all the sports writers and journalists said they’d have trouble even getting admitted to play at ANY school much less a prestigious school like Duke.

You know it, but for some reason you feel the need to come here and act contrary on a rivals message board. If this was Cal/UK i would admit it. It’s okay to admit it. You’re not the only school that has been caught cheating.

We’d take you more seriously if you weren’t being daft on purpose. For some reason you need our acceptance and validation. It’s why you post here so much.

I will say this in regards to the admissions, Zion could prob pretty easily say HE has no knowledge of payments to his family, handlers, etc., because the reality is he may not really know and def may not want to know. Just by the LSU stuff on tape I bet the kid didn't know what the hell was going on, I would say most of the kids don't.
His family still got paid - whether he knew or not - and I believe this is still a major NCAA violation (Cam Newton situation may challenge this assumption).

LMAO duke fans STILL playing the “duke and said player didn’t know” card. (Sound familiar?!) Guess what?! Doesn’t matter, irrelevant. It doesn’t matter if the school or player “knew”. It makes them ineligible, regardless. End of story. That point is moot. That is, unless you’re duke or the cheats.

The Tatum team and the Zion team should have won titles, but K kinda made up for it with the 2010 and 2015 titles which were unexpected. The only problem there is in those two years UK should have won the title so Duke should have the same amount of titles but UK should have minimum 2 more as well!

I agree but these are admissions based on his personal knowledge. Also as I posted earlier if Nike gives his dad or AAU coach a million dollars to coach AAU is that a NCAA violation. Obviously if Duke is connected to that I know it is a violation.

First off why did you say “ much less Duke” do you think Duke has significantly higher academic standards for athletes than any other school. No athlete at any major D1 school is subject to anything other than the bare minimum NCAA standards. People act like Duke admitting athletes is an NCAA violation lol.

They don’t now. In the past, though, duke and the media played it off like their were special admittance requirements for athletes to get into duke. It was all fake/phony bullshit that duke has mastered over the years.

Even an 18 year old kid would know something fishy is going on if his family went from bankruptcy to living in a million dollar home after he signs to play for a certain school. The NCAA would know too but they choose to ignore it in fear of tarnishing the image of a certain coach, an image they and the media have helped create. Krzyzewski, just like Wooden has been put on a pedestal and Duke will be allowed to get by with breaking the rules as long as Krzyzewski is there. The truth will eventually come out after he's gone.

Yes and it’s disgusting. And duke fans wonder why everyone outside of their shit program hates them. This is a big reason why.

So was Duval there two years or one? What were those 8 schools in 3 years? I didn’t see all that in the article.

Dude, I can't help you READ or COMPREHEND. Beyond my pay grade, but clearly not beyond Duke's. Duval's grades were poor (he's already academically in trouble), so he transferred to an unaccredited school (API) in early 2015, left in mid 2016. Again, no player EVER gained immediate college eligibility who attended API (except your boy---Duval). Duval wen't to IMG later on. He had previously been at St. Benedict's (where he was failing school). Manages to get credit from an unknown on-line school in Nebraska (is that a joke)? Before St. Benedicts, Duval attended schools in Delaware. That's at least 5 schools in 3 years. Pretty sure he attended numerous schools in the Northeast before St. Benedicts.

So, in sum. Duval is failing at St. Benedicts. He transfers to an unaccredited school and loses 1 1/2 years worth of school credits. Somehow gets some credit from an un-named, unknown on-line school in Nebraska. Then goes to IMG, and is ELIGIBLE at Duke. Just stop

I remember the Duval recruitment and word was that he'd never be eligible. So much so, that tons of schools were backing off him. Wasn't it like a bunch of B-rate schools left, and ones that were already shady? Sure enough.. Baylor, Kansas, Arizona.

I mean, you just look at his history, and how seriously he took his high school education.. and when you take all of it in, it really does make no sense he'd go to Duke.

Ok you can only get so many things wrong. Duval did not transfer in early 2015. He transferred in September at the start of the season and then left before the start of the following season in 2016. 1 school year there.

Duval attended St Benedict’s for his freshman and sophomore years of high school. He then attendees API his junior year where his classes were done through the school in Nebraska, not through API. Then he went to IMG. For academic purposes that is three schools in four years.

Lastly Duval was ruled eligible by the NCAA, not Duke. He was ruled eligible for college NCAA competition, meaning he was ruled eligible for any school in the NCAA, not just Duke.

I’m amazed that you’ve managed to spin this so hard despite getting all these facts wrong. Why did you have so many factual errors in your argument?

Then you are proving the point that you just disputed that they were set up by the NCAA for an easy run since they were a 2 and 3 seed in those seasons. If they had no chance they didn't deserve a 2 or 3 seed.
It’s just my opinion friend. I personally didn’t think they had it in them those years. Doesn’t mean their record wasn’t deserving of their seed. The three seed on 2014 was spot on. 2012 should probably have been a 3 seed over a 2. Their overall record was fine but they were playing poorly the last couple weeks of the season.

What did I flip flop on?

You say those teams were not good enough to win it all so I point out that must mean they were gifted those high seeds. Then all of a sudden they were good enough to get a 2 or 3 seed but not win it all. Which is it? Were they over seeded or not? Any team that is good enough to be a 2 or 3 seed has the potential to win it all.

This doesn't even take into consideration the special treatment they get by playing in either North Carolina or the only other place Duke can draw a crown....NJ every year and usually until the final four.

Lol that’s not flip flopping. A team can be deserving of a two or three seed and me not believe they are good enough to win it all.

it is your line of thinking that all 2 and 3 seeds are good enough to win it all. That is not my line of thinking.

It’s funny that duke fans still piss and moan over having to play South Carolina in the state of South Carolina. I’ve heard many a duke fan complain about that. You know, because the state of South Carolina is so far away from the state of North Carolina and all. I mean, that argument is just completely absurd.

The venue wouldn’t have made a difference anyhow. In that game, duke was just totally dominated physically by a SEC team. It was euphoric to watch a “weak” (according to duke fans and ACC homers) SEC team just thoroughly beat the mortal piss out of them.

I especially LOVED Amile Jefferson’s meltdown in that game. The dude acted like a complete spoiled brat bitch. Hysterical that he didn’t receive even as much as a warning from the refs during his little temper tantrum, let alone a technical foul. A Kentucky player would’ve been ejected for that type of charade. I couldn’t despise a program or fanbase anymore than I do those little bitches. Good Lord.

I find it hilarious that ESPIN doesn’t even have this news about Zion on their site anywhere, that I can tell. For the past year and a half or so, the media could tell you where the kid shit last. Yet, this isn’t anywhere on their site. [eyeroll]
probably because they’ve dedicated their nba programming to him. the lebron era is almost over and the same people that slurped him for two decades have already set up the narrative for zion. they’ve spent time and money talking to it and no they are not going to touch their own product. the truth is they’re as selective as the ncaa.

I didn't mean it to come off like that; I meant that should've been the reply to the dookie who was mocking our early titles. Sorry about the mixup
their main argument is that titles won “during a era of no 3 point line or shot clock should be viewed in the context in which they were won” basically saying “hey your championships don’t count” of course when you tell them that no shot clock and 3 point line made it harder to win they’ll just call you a troll. Duke fans also love saying “the modern era” why you may ask? this is a good time frame for duke to say they have the most titles in x amount of time! cherrypicking is all that it is. Duke fans want to be UK so bad and so does UNC. UNC fans will say “past 20 years UK has 1 title, UNC has 3 in 15!” of course they won’t go back 25 years because that would benefit kentucky. so to sum it all up UNC and duke have to use stupid arguments like “titles were easy back then!” and “well since 1980!” to stack up to UK.

Yup
For anyone that thinks it's just UK fans that are paranoid when it comes to biased refs or the NCAA protecting its sacred cows, watch this. It's real and guys that aren't UK fans see it too.

@BlueBlood66 , give me your thoughts here.

Bomani: No one would doubt this Zion story if Calipari was his coach

Yup it’s ridiculous. Those bastards skate on everything and everyone knows it and acknowledges it. Everyone except duke fans, of course.
