Regardless of which way this would go now, it's a long way to go to signing day.
Most def, we RU fans are confident we get a commit, btw I don't see the UK coaching staff backing down till the last day.
What I see happening is UK through good scouting and evaluation getting a great QB------that then transfers to one of the Bama's of the world.
The issue of Gavin Wimsatt’s recruitment has been addressed at length on our State of 2022 Recruiting thread. Don’t need to repeat everything here but, short answer, I have believed all along and continue to believe now that UK is the school to beat, and that Gavin likes Liam Coen and Vince Marrow.
Six days from that tweet is also Easter Sunday.
no kidding .... angst about a recruit in March is madness.... we all know a hard commit isn’t necessarily real until December

I sit right on the 50 yard line, and can hear every organized cheer the students put out..... I do not doubt that a few drunken fans might have yelled out FU Navy, they try that chant against every team, without regard to what team it is....anyway, I heard absolutely nothing that day, and the report of it was way overblown.... probably the bulk of the student section either ignored it, or shushed them down
as far as Gavitts mom, the six day thing was reportedly the mom indicating that the family was going on vacation then

Schiano is a really good coach. UT blew it as he's 10x the coach they just fired and can recruit. Now they are stuck with Chumlee as HC.
In two or three years we'll see who has the better football team but I suspect it will not be UT.
He’s more likely to transfer to UL IMO. He had a family member play there recently and most of his family are UL fans from what I remember reading a while back. UL loses Malik after this year so that would make sense as Wimsatt is a similar type QB.

As well as his friends, and likely his parents. Sorry... UofL just isn't a destination school unless the vault door is left ajar.
We will be again looking for a refugee from a Top 10 caliber school's QB room. Hogan is close... Top 20, but we could use a stranded Top 100 HS prospects QB, unless Hogan really picks it up. Not sure where he is now, to be honest, but he appears to have packed Allen. We probably want someone for max two years if playing in the Boley sweepstakes.
I read elsewhere that 44% of the quarterbacks starting in today’s games were transfers .
I don’t think he will ever be a fit here though. He was a guy Eddie Gran loved , but Liam Coen ……not so much.
