Wheeler enters portal

Maybe 3rd. Although Sharpe wasn’t injured. He just refused to play. I feel bad talking about Terrence Clarke considering the tragedy, but something never quite felt right with his injury either.
RIP to Clarke.

His circle didn't like it when he was running the point that season.

Vanderbilt also was questionable.

Only the "everything is always the worst possible scenario" people on this board have been saying he quit on the team. Not one source has reported that.
He did quit. What happened was the dude got his feelings hurts and took his ball and went home like the crybaby he's always been! One of those last interviews when they were asking him about his injury anyone with half a brain could tell he was full of bs.

If this tourn has shown anything it is that you will go nowhere without a true experience point guard. Al'so, the right type of point guard. The fill in type like we had the last part of the just doesn't cut it.

Cal's offense will make a lot of players look bad, but Wheeler's defense was brutal.

So, questionable offense, bad defense, & a terrible attitude/quitter. What's not to like? I'm annoyed that I used to defend him.

Who would want to pick up a player that quit on their previous team?

A lot of posters on this forum were foaming over Markquis Nowell saying that they wish he had played here. He QUIT Little Rock after some disciplinary issues. I guess most on this forum would want to pick up a player that quick on their previous team. Right?

Probably more to the story than him just quitting. Sounds like it was mutual from the quotes I’ve seen.

I kind of wish you would hit the portal at this point. You seem to be on a one man mission to standup for all of the broken parts of the team.

LOL Your idiot takes are too good to miss.

Everything is sunshine and roses. Kentucky Basketball, right where it should be!

I never said that and never will unless we are undefeated and win the title. I am just more objective than all the idiots screaming, "We don't want quitters on our team." That reminds me of Vitale's idiotic, "He's a winner. He has a winner's mentality." Life is more complicated than many will ever understand.

Askew might have a word with you, at least Wheeler did have a small army of supporters. Askew was pretty much universally crushed.
Askew was way worse IMO. But nowhere near as polarizing. Askew was also literally all we had at PG until we were forced to convert mintz. Wheeler was a victim of Wallace also being on the team. Where the fans were apathetic about askew, they chose sides and demolished wheeler in favor of Wallace.

EXCELLENT! Thank the Lord!

There was a great big red flag tied to Wheeler from the day he announced he was coming to UK from Georgia. Many of us questioned his ability to get to the rim and terrible shooting numbers. He won a couple of games for Georgia nearly single-handedly but, Georgia ain't Kentucky. No one ever questioned his ability there. In fact, I think they were just glad to have him. But, it says something about accepting transfers from traditional basement dweller programs. There's usually a reason they have the guys they do.

Also, does Rajon Rondo have any eligibility remaining? Or can we clone him like a velocirapter? "Jurassic Rondo" could be a thing.

I didn't think he could walk anymore much less run on a basketball court. What we've all witnessed here is nothing short of a miracle.

I can understand why he is leaving. No surprise, he wants a fresh start. Clearly he has not been among the best PGs in the Calipari era, but I do not think he's been the worst, either. Good Luck to him wherever he ends up.

Chart should list turnovers also and how long they dribbled into the shot clock before making a play.

What a punk. His team needed him but he was too mad because he lost his starting position. Instead of putting in the extra work to earn it back, he quit. then this BS story about his tail bone or something being hurt.
It seems the only issue with his tail bone was his head stuck up his ass and it made it even bigger than it was before.
Good bye you little wimp.
He was BUTT HURT

Do we honestly care about Wheeler leaving?? If he played any lately I only wanted like 5 or10 minutes max. He had a FEW good games. But you couldn’t win consistently with him at point. No big deal to me him leaving!!
