Ok cool. Hope that’s how it goes. Less drama the better. He should be a grad transfer and eligible right away.

Wagner hasn't even been playing PG for his HS team. Rankings are based on where they project the player to be someday. Wagner is a combo guard by all accounts. Not a pure PG.The #1 high school PG in the country?
I meant GUARDS, as I realize Wagner will probably be the starting PG. Who will be the back-up, if Dilly is not here ?? Interesting that nobody seems to be mentioning Thiero as a back-up PG, although I do not think he is.The #1 high school PG in the country?
Our coach gives no information. Probably not a surprise that people fill in the gaps. We heard ankle injury, yet 6 weeks later it had not healed to the point he could play, when we needed him most.Only the "everything is always the worst possible scenario" people on this board have been saying he quit on the team. Not one source has reported that.
Well, no shit. 🤣Only the "everything is always the worst possible scenario" people on this board have been saying he quit on the team. Not one source has reported that.
Hell, we just might. 🤣Rednecks rejoice! I wonder if they’ll throw a party due to this.
Surely he will, and will be granted. It’s probably true, although I would say his mental well being is hindered by the fact that he is soft as snow. And yes, Cal has been setting this plate for a month at least. Pitiful.Who wants to bet he will claim the transfer is for his mental well-being? Isn’t that required now to transfer twice and still be immediately eligible?
Here are the turnover per minute statistics for PGs (primary and back-ups) during the Calipari era. Wheeler drastically improved his TOs this season, to set the record straight.5’10 Russell Westbrook. Have no ill will towards the kid, but man he’s a detriment to any “contending” team. Needs high usage, can’t shoot, turns the ball over at will.
He could be good in the right situation I guess.

If Dilly does not come, then we will have to bring in from the portal a PG or (more likely) a combo-guard. A PG will know they will be backing up Wagner, where as a Combo-guard can get minutes at 2 spots, even if coming from the bench, but also may have a chance to compete for PT at the starting 2G.If Dilly doesn't arrive on campus, as it stands right now, who will be our point guards ??

Sharpe wasnt injured. His camp held him out. He put on dunking displays before each game. Do not know the extent of Wheelers injury. Do not know if he even had an injury. So Wheeler was legit injured?
Just a thought….What are the chances that he was suspended from playing and was told to hit the road?Who wants to bet he will claim the transfer is for his mental well-being? Isn’t that required now to transfer twice and still be immediately eligible?
Give a source that says he did quit. A source that doesn't post on this board. Not one source has reported that he DIDN'T quit on the team either.
I mean that’s the smallest sample size of minutes by far besides Quade Green in 18-19. We don’t know what the numbers would’ve looked like if he played the whole season. Here are the turnover per minute statistics for PGs (primary and back-ups) during the Calipari era. Wheeler drastically improved his TOs this season, to set the record straight.

It is the same handful of posters that argued that Sharpe will be back and not go pro........Well, everyone knew this quitter was leaving. That’s been obvious for a very long time. Hilarious that some people thought he missed senior day because he was returning to UK, though. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
just waitGive a source that says he did quit. A source that doesn't post on this board.
Yep. Same ones.It is the same handful of posters that argued that Sharpe will be back and not go pro........
Until he did. Then not a peep from any of them other than "Cal didn't know"....
Same crew that told us to "be mad about Sharpe when the season is over and he actually leaves" when we all saw the writing on the wall during the season. Then the season ended, he left, and they didn't want us to talk about it because it was in the past. And Cal didn't know! Even though we ALL knew, lolIt is the same handful of posters that argued that Sharpe will be back and not go pro........

I don’t think he was suspended, but I suppose it’s possible. I doubt that he was encouraged to return.Just a thought….What are the chances that he was suspended from playing and was told to hit the road?
I’ve seen the rumors that there was an incident between him and another player and that he didn’t get along with Oscar.
Cal beat everyone else to get there first. He's a genius. One and done, and the transfer portal are ruining college basketball.
Fvcking crazy! Happened just like that, too! 🤣Same crew that told us to "be mad about Sharpe when the season is over and he actually leaves" when we all saw the writing on the wall during the season. I 100% agree, but included because he played the position. Others included that played PG only very rarely, as well. Data provided for general information and reference, as regards the discussion of Wheeler's ineptitude.I mean that’s the smallest sample size of minutes by far besides Quade Green in 18-19. He's dead to me....Good luck to him.
So you’re saying there’s a chanceI don’t think he was suspended, but I suppose it’s possible. I doubt that he was encouraged to return.
I just don’t think the record was set straight by that haha.I 100% agree, but included because he played the position. Others included that played PG only very rarely, as well. Data provided for general information and reference, as regards the discussion of Wheeler's ineptitude.
They didn't report my marriage to Penelope Ann Miller, either. Not one source has reported that he DIDN'T quit on the team either.
Totally true.Next season without an actual point guard will be the most Kentucky basketball thing ever.
Can’t wait to see an actual SG playing PG again with two clumsy 7 footers out there clogging up the lane. It will pair so well with a bunch of other tall athletes who can’t dribble or shoot.
And they should. He probably qualifies.Yep. And they’ll grant it, too.
Actually, I do not get the point, but that doesn't matter. I provided the stats to simply show that Wheeler was not the best, but certainly not the worst PG we've had during the Calipari, at least, statistically speaking. That was my only point.I just don’t think the record was set straight by that haha.
It reminds me of that kid Nesmith from Vandy was coming out in the draft as a sophomore a few years ago. As a freshman he shot 33.7% from 3, not good. But as a sophomore he shot 52% on 3 more attempts. The only problem was he played 14 games the whole season. But Boston still took the bait.
He’s in his 3rd year in the NBA and his careee average from 3 is 33.6% haha. The reality is he just had a crazy hot streak during a small sample.
I’d argue a similar thing happened to Wheeler here. Obviously shooting %’s and turnovers aren’t necessarily the same thing, but you get the point.
Where is all the people who said he would be back and that we had no idea if he quit?Shocking. No indicators he wanted to play somewhere else. Nobody saw that coming. I was told he didn't quit on Kentucky.
What a candy @ss. Good riddance. Quitter.
Edit: I have ZERO tolerance for those who quit on teammates, coworkers, families, etc. ZERO tolerance for those who don't honor their commitment, and don't stay true to their word. I will absolutely judge someone by that. Tells me everything I need to know about their character.
