What's going on in Bardstown

The FBI isn't taking over because they just learned of this case. Those remains must have pointed to something. Now they're coming in to glom on and be the ones who get the credit. Something about to get announced.

Yep Totally Agree. Something about to go down

Computers and cell phones where the first to be seized. At least they are on tv crime shows. Also, should have checked every available CCTV in and around Bardstown. "See No Evil" closes about 99.9% of their cases on ID Discovery. It would have worked, guaranteed.

Bardstown Police Dept couldn't find a 4 leaf clover in a field of nothing but 4 leaf clovers

A man was stabbed multiple times 2 months ago. A woman was in the home at the time, yet no person of interest in the brutal death of Jamie Keene

Any word on how the remains were discovered? Somebody call in a tip or hiker wander on them?

Did the Houck’s get arrested today?

But yeah agree, the Feds coming in heavy like that probably means they hold the cards.

A couple guys were camping on the Beech Fork river and fishing. He noticed on the river bank about 10 ft up the bank from the water level, one single bone sticking out.
Took bone to local funeral home, was told it was human, called police.
The body was buried 5 or 6ft deep, and away from the river. Apparently this bend in the river has eroded severely recently because of rain, two large trees came away from bank taking huge chunks of river bank with it. Exposing the side of the grave. Grave was lined in rocks.

Geez. That sounds like something from a book.

I know at the end of June there was a day in that part of the county that got 5-6" or rain on one day. So it would make sense about the river washing out an area.

What do they expect to find? It’s been what - 5 years? Not like they are gonna have their bloody clothes, murder weapon, or shovels/duct tape still lying around.

And I can’t imagine there will be any DNA evidence left after years of decay.

Best hope may be the damn IRS of all things.

Crime scene pics per someone involved in the recovery.

Why would they have lined the grave with rocks?
When the body decays it collapses creating a void, the ground on the surface can sink and give a clue as a possible grave site for searchers. Big rocks wedged above a body is a indication that somebody was trying to hide the burial.

Whoever did it was not aware that land around rivers changes often due to current from floods and unstable ground. Maybe they thought the remains would be washed away over time, counting on the river to disperse the bones miles apart.

Don’t forget the multiple forms of ID and set of complete dental records.

Note to self, do not piss off Exception.

Look into potential financial discrepancies (dirty cop getting kickbacks) and/or apply some pressure if they can pin some tax criminality to him.

Yeah that will work. "Hey man the GD IRS is checking into my financials, they about to give me 5 years in federal. I probably need to cut a deal and confess to the murder, I don't want them snooping around my dirty money."

Any thoughts on why the Texas Game warden is involved?

Same way Buford T. Justice was in Arkansas. He was in high speed pursuit, what is the matter boy, don't you hear good ?

Smokey and The Bandit one of the best movies ever.

IRS is in this for bigger reasons. The whole pot syndicate

FBI has released a couple of surveillance camera pictures of vehicles of interest.

First is of a car near intersection of Paschal Ballard Rd and Balltown Rd. Photo is date/time stamped 7/4/15 about 3:45 a.m. (Rogers last seen on 7/3).

Second picture is on Loretto Road from a surveillance camera on front of Heaven Hill building. It shows a red or maroon SUV and a white SUV. FBI did not provide date or time of picture.

Someone asked me how the IRS could be helpful or apply pressure.....and I’m simply giving an answer. It may not be what you’re looking for (a full confession and death penalty, but it’s better than nothing).

In short, Al Capone says hi.
