If you have ever sat in section 215 near row O (or within a couple of sections and 20 rows) you have probably heard these people. This is only a short audio clip, but this goes on all game, every game. I now know why I was able to get the seats I have.

Since all UK fans are just passionate and the internet is full of rainbows and ponies, I have removed the video for now as to not be the sole person responsible for bringing cyber space into the gutter.

I bet mama doesn't have no teeth and papa carries his easy to use catheters around when it's convenient to go. These two probably get their welfare checks and instead of bingo head to section 215.

If they limited it to 1 or 2 outbursts a game, I'd love the passion. But it is seriously every call that looks like it would slightly be questionable. I wish I was recording during that missed tripping call. I thought they were both going to have a stroke.

Just another couple of blue hairs in the UK faithful. I'd take al purnell over whatever trash louisville takes in as fans all day long. Unfortunately, unlike louisville fans our fans sometimes are better unseen lol

They should be politely seated and waiting for a goody to happen like all the other coaches that study the game .

There was a rather annoying guy who sits in one of the corners that is always trying to get people to stand up or raise their hands on every free throw. We just happened to have tickets there but had to move at halftime. The people that gave us the tickets mentioned him before we went to the game and I was ya ya whatever no problem but then got there and was like dang!!!

I know who you're talking about. It's the corner kind of above the UK entrance. I will occasionally go over to that side (on the other side of the screen from him) when there are a bunch of open spots.

This is far from cheering. I also never said they were too loud. I feel like they just wait for an excuse to yell. Their negativity far outweighs their applauding when something good happens.

So you consider what you heard on that clip to be "cheering"?

Maybe they should have said nothing?

I've heard WAY worse than that at rupp, away from rupp, pro games etc. hell, I know high school parents that are worse than that.

My point is one day rupp is a graveyard, the next it's too loud.

Pointless discussion. It's rafters.

I'm glad they're enjoying UK basketball. I heard no problem, you did. So what?

My favorite is if you ever have to sit in the clouds in rupp the people that think Cal or the players can hear them. You know the ones who talk directly to them from their seat.

You've been dishonestly misrepresenting the OP's words. He never once said Rupp was "too loud." Simply because he might not enjoy the adjoining hillbilly couple constantly screeching abrasive negative angriness does not mean he wants it to be quiet. There is a difference between good noise and bad noise.

I don't know about the most annoying but the most disgusting is the dancing idiot that they for some warped reason feel the need to show on tv every game.
If he wants to dance that's fine but a stop should be put to him sliding down that rail! I mean come on, people have to put their hand on that rail...

Yep, my vote goes to the dancing idiot. If we would quit playing that stupid "Mony Mony" crap song, which was terrible when it first came out, and hasn't gotten any better over the last 30 years, maybe he would stop.

Fine. One day it's not the right type of cheering, the next day its not enough. The point remains.

Couldn't have said it better, but I think you quoted the wrong person. :)

And a few times a game is fine, but not everything that looks like a questionable call from a couple hundred feet away.

YOu need to learn how to quote properly, I never said that.

What makes me sick is seeing so many empty seats in lower arena when the normal crowd is jammed packed.
Also its a total shame that most of the people get up and walk out before the game is over.
I truly wish all tickets would be sold at the ticket office beginning two hours prior to tipoff. This way the true fans can obtain a decent ticket and enjoy the whole game

Hell Yes. Kill Mony Mony. Honestly. Seriously. This is a good idea.

Guess you are a sit-on-your hands kinda guy. Do you listen/watch the games normally in your church pew? Sounds like the living room of any other true Cat fan I have ever known. Or any bar with the game on and three Cat fans watching. I didn't here a word negative about the Cats.
I got into a fight in Indianapolis in '97 with a rich New Yorker (described as such only based on that damn accent) who thought I was wrong to be screaming at that moron Pitino. It was disturbing his popcorn eating or something. You sound a bit like him. He had no dog in the hunt. He didn't care about the game, he was there to socialize. Not me. These people are correctly bitching about the refs. Someone has to. Good for them. Sorry for you. Maybe tennis?

I usually agree with you .S&C., but the only thing OP said was that the guy was annoying to sit next to.

Right. So he pulls his phone out and secretly records a couple cheering "inappropriately" as to run back to rafters and start this thread.

to me, that's far more disturbing than some couple cheering obnoxiously during a UK game.

I like people around me getting loud and getting into the game. I don't like having 20 different commentators around me though. That is annoying. Half the time the only thing they comment on is officiating. :chairshot:

Yeah, maybe not the best decision to secretly record them, but being loud and obnoxious is not 'cheering inappropriately' it's just called being loud and obnoxious.
