I read Alexander may be the best Def player to come out of ky in years. We shall seeMost important targets in 2025 as of right now would be Tavion Wallace brother of Trevon, Amaree Williams son of Moe Williams, and Tucker Kattus brother of Josh. Also I like Montavious Quinsenberry from Boyle County for an instate player as well as Austin Alexander.

Afari and Kattus are little brothers of current UK football players, and both are very good prospects.
So far, 2025 appears to be a relatively weak instate class, especially in northern KY, Jefferson Co, Bowling Green, and at N Hardin HS. This list suggests big recruiting pushes by our coaches in GA, FL, OH, NJ, and PA. There is a lot of time for more players to develop and make better impressions since the signing date is still 18 months away.
Dang Coach looks like he’s lost some pounds.
Pretty typical.Seems like a large list of offers. Is this a typical size?
It's great news. Not long after Coach Coen returned, it became pretty clear that he really likes Stone Saunders. And vice versa. With Boley on the roster, it will be hard to sign a significant QB in our 2025 class. Saunders is a significant prospect with at least 20 Power 5 offers including MI and GA. It has been said by some talking heads that Saunders is a fearless, competitive player. Relationships matter, of course, so this is another good test of Coach Coen's magnetism. But whatever happens, Coen's return has apparently turned things around for our offense.
Maybe I dreamed this after a couple of chilli dogs but didn't a Saunders relative, maybe even his father, coach Coen in HS? Could've sworn I heard/read that somewhere a few months ago. Liam Coen played hs ball for his father Tim Coen at La Salle Academy in Providence, RI. Stone Saunders is from Harrisburg, PA. That doesn't prove or disprove what you remember hearing, but it is all I could find. Trying to shake the cobwebs free, I recall hearing something about some connection between the 2 families, just can't bring it up. Maybe Saunders dad playing for the elder Coen?? I read he was planning on committing b4 his JR year starts. Jrow thinks UK leads and has a FC foe him to UKGreat info. That is bound to help us.
I guess we will see. A good hs player will encounter competition at any Power 5 program. Because of Boley, I don't think it will be an easy task for us to sign a competitive QB in our 2025 class. But everyone is different. Maybe Coen and Saunders have the right chemistry. Maybe Saunders is the kind of kid who won't back down.I read he was planning on committing b4 his JR year starts. As a peripheral matter, I can't help being impressed by our recruiting progress inside the state of PA, which is a definite step outside the original Stoops recruiting footprint.
And Bradshaw. Saying at the time was "UK had more Pennsylvanians than Fred Waring." And no, I doubt younger folk knows who Fred Waring was.Pennsylvania was a mainstay for UK football recruiting when the Bear was here.

Quite a change here if I came close to the count, it shows well over twice as many offers to Ohio players as those from Tennessee. It isn't a trend. It is a very short drive from Lexington to Cincinnati or to Springfield. Marrow and the Stoops brothers are from Youngstown and know the OH hs coaches, so we always go after SEC level OH athletes when there is a strong mutual interest. There are more hs football players and better competition in OH than in TN. UK is cherry picking in the Nashville area.Quite a change here if I came close to the count, it shows well over twice as many offers to Ohio players as those from Tennessee. Thanks for your thoughtful comment. IMO, one of the most interesting outstanding issues in our program right now is Coach Coen's recruiting traction. I am already confident Coen's return means a more efficient offense and more effective game plans. We know that because we saw Coen's work in 2021. Now, I want to see how well he recruits. Boley himself said he would not have had UK as a finalist if Coach Scan stayed. So getting Boley's commitment was huge for Coen. But after all, Boley plays at LCA. Now, can we build on Boley's commit? Can Coen use Boley's commit to put other elite playmakers around Boley? And can he sign more SEC caliber QBs in subsequent classes? Can Coen pull a top QB prospect out of OH or PA? FL? TX? That will be very interesting.I think signing one top flight qb a year is not an unreasonable ask if you have Coen.
I like our chances with Saunders. Especially after Levis, and if Leary gets drafted.
Love the work, Rembrandt!
I’m saying there’s a Stone Cold chance he does! Can Coen pull a top QB prospect out of OH or PA? FL? TX? That will be very interesting.
Here is the thing I try to remember. Coach Coen has established a good relationship with Stone Saunders, and Saunders is spending a lot of time in Lexington. But Saunders holds offers from at least three SEC, five B10, and seven ACC schools. We don't know yet which schools Saunders will OV. I like our chances. But at this stage of other recruiting cycles, it looked like UK would sign Mac Jones and Connor Bazelak. That was before Coach Coen got here, and he has made a difference for our recruiting traction. Otherwise, Saunders would not even be giving us a look. But recruiting is unpredictable, which is why UK's coaches have already made eight offers to uncommitted 2025 QBs. As far as it goes, I find Saunders intriguing because he has everything they look for in a QB for this kind of offense. Would like to get him.I’m saying there’s a Stone Cold chance he does!
Think we can add Sowells to your list of likely. He's short but stout, likely a C in college. Not counting Boley for obvious reasons, here are instate 2025 prospects with current UK scholarship offers. I am not suggesting which of these offers are committable.
Austin Alexander, LB, Union
Aveion Chenault, WR, Lexington
Brock Driver, LB, Danville
Antonio Harris, slotR, Louisville
Montavin Quisenberry, slotR, Danville
Makhi Smith, ATH, Versailles
Isaac Sowells, OL, Louisville
My uneducated guess would be that Coach Marrow will push hard for Alexander, Chenault, and Quisenberry. I have heard Driver has possible SEC upside as an interior LB but might not be an immediate take.
Interesting. Let's discuss. UK's coaches have already offered at least 14 OTs and 11 interior offensive linemen in the 2025 class. Until the quality of hs football improves in Jeff Co, Male hs will not be a recruiting priority. With that physical build, Sowells has little or no projectability to carry more good weight. UK and UL are Sowells' only reported Power 5 offers. The only interesting fact I can find about Sowells is that his Dad played for IU and then briefly for the Cleveland Browns. If Sowells is limited to C, he would be stacked behind Burton, Keenum, and possibly Lafondant at UK. Given that, why do you believe his UK offer is committable?Think we can add Sowells to your list of likely. He's short but stout, likely a C in college.
Just guessing, I have no idea if Sowells's offer is committable. You mention 3 OCs, I can think of at least 2 PWO OCs too so it would seem UK's in good standing for the future.Interesting. Here is another question rattling around in my mind. You and I know Stoops needs to sign OTs. So far, our 2024 class is looking more promising for interior offensive linemen than for OTs, regardless of where Selm ends up playing. KSR keeps calling Jonathan Daniels a "5 star OT", but he clearly isn't. First of all, Daniels is not a 5-star. Besides that, he 6'3" 275-280#. Would love to sign him, but he is not going to be an edge blocker. Right now, JacQawn McRoy is the only uncommitted 2024 OT prospect that UK even appears to be in the hunt for. So unless Stoops finds several more OTs with multiple years of eligibility in the transfer portal, there will be a heightened necessity for OTs in our 2025 class. Tucker Kattus and Rafael Greene are the obvious targets for Coach Marrow, as both have already indicated their interest in UK. Greene is a classic LT. Kattus is Josh's younger brother. It would be fantastic to sign those two guys out of Cincinnati.Just guessing, I have no idea if Sowells's offer is committable. Yeah, I've fretted over OTs too but then remind myself; "Well, there's always the portal." '25 class looks promising, hope it holds. Here is another question rattling around in my mind. UK is not doing good recruiting OTs. You mentioned Jonathon Dainels. I dont kniw his height have seen different numbers but most say he is so long and ath that he will play OT in college. ON3 has him as a 6'4 5 OT #11 overall and a 5 star. Just like they call Cutter a 5 star but Rivals has had him ranked that high. With that said it doesn't matter if he is a 4 or 5 star if they could get him on board it would be great. I just think FSU is too far ahead and he just visited UGA. He did seem to enjoy his visit but I get a feeling it is more like Karmello English. We will seeHere is another question rattling around in my mind. You and I know Stoops needs to sign OTs. Yes, I agree. We have struggled to sign OTs, and it has to be put in Zach Yenser's lap until he proves he can get it done. The jury is still out.UK is not doing good recruiting OTs. We will see
FWIW, this very site lists Daniels at 6'5. Reminds me of a story. It was said the late, great WKU basketball coach Ed Diddle had measurements on his door in his office and would actually measure guys himself since the fudging got so bad. One way to do it I guess!Yes, I agree. We have struggled to sign OTs, and it has to be put in Zach Yenser's lap until he proves he can get it done. The jury is still out.
Meanwhile Coach Coen has to depend on acquisitions from the transfer portal who have not worked out elsewhere. But I haven't given up on Nik Hall. I like Nik's frame and offer sheet, and hope he can stay healthy.
Based on experience, I don't trust KSR without confirmation from a reliable second source. On3 is the least reliable of the big online sports networks. All of them opportunistically tell fans what they want to hear, but On3 goes too far. On preponderance of available evidence, I believe Jonathan Daniels is 6'3". Most sources are projecting him as an interior lineman at the next level. I also agree with you that FL St holds the advantage since they will have Daniels on campus next weekend. The only way it happens for UK would be if Coach Yenser was very convincing last weekend. I just don't see it, but would like to be wrong.
I am not sure how we got in the convo on the 25 page instead of the 24. Lol I agree about Hall and hope he can be spell the OTs this year and be the RT next year.Yes, I agree.
