It's wasn't just a game. It was a NCAA tourney game that very likely cost UK a national title. Millions of dollars were lost by the university thanks in part to Higgins. Not to mention all the time and effort put into a season by the players, coaches and staff. This wasn't just incompetence by Higgins, I think even you would agree with that. He has a bias against either Cal or UK or both and once again it was on full display in that game.

No one on here was condoning death threats against him or especially his family. But now we have proof that obviously isn't what happened. Poor Mr Higgins got his feelings hurt and ran to the media to play the victim. If he would've kept his mouth shut this whole situation would've been done and forgotten by now. Instead now he looks even more like a scumbag. And the best part about it all is I highly doubt he refs another UK game.

Go ask explain that to the millions of next non KY fans.

I might add that we look back at how Greg Marshall's wife acted at our game. We all wanted her to be kicked out the game, banned for life in the arena, and jailed for being drunk. A coaches wife is held to a higher standard than an average fan. If any fan comes to a game drunk and acting very obnoxious the chances are high they'll get thrown out. That wasn't my point. My only issue is that we, as a fan base, do not appear to be ok with our fans acting badly, not if the comments technically were threats or not. We constantly criticize other schools for their fans actions, and while downplaying what was said might be justified, the behavior is not. I'm just old school, and hate the fact that a few fans make us look so bad, justified or not.

It gave the fan base a huge black eye and it was totally undeserved. We finally get to see what these "threats" really are and it's almost laughable that law enforcement was involved.
