According to Shams Charania over at Yahoo! Sports, Skal Labissiere has received NCAA eligibility to play this season. You can finally put whatever concerns and worries about Labissiere’s future at Kentucky to bed.

UK will not comment on any player eligibility matters until after the first game, so we’re relying on Yahoo for now.

The memtards are taking it harder than anyone in Louisville ever will.

Someone should take Fuente in the offseason to put a stamp on the shit sandwich that's been handed to Memphis since 08.

Many of us on here were saying it wasn't a story, every year it takes a while to clear all the recruits, as Cal said, especially the top recruits. The media was just trying to deflect attention, or get hits. Someone even said Skal cat participate in BBM until he is cleared, lol. What were they going to do, vacate our BBM?

I am not going to say all UL fans are delusional and pathetically blind to all evidence against them, but they do come up with some pretty incredible evidence against UK:

From a relative on the Tennessee staff: 'The kid made up a school he never attended. When we pulled records to verify his grades we couldn't find the HS he attended to get the Clearinghouse approved. Before our then coach, Donnie Tyndall, was found guilty from his time with Southern Miss, the kid's guardian was said to have asked for $100k for the kid's services. We knew that this isn't against rules to simply ask but caving in for such demands would have landed us on probation. We had been told by other coaches that dollar amounts were floated around. Our coaching staff decided that the kid wasn't worth the trouble. Therefore the University of Tennessee said have a nice day.'

To go along with that: 'We had to figure that someone would eventually pay his demands. Unsurprisingly it was the University of Kentucky. We have sent this information to the NCAA infractions committee but they clearly do not listen when it comes to certain schools.'

Once again the information was sent to the right people....

Idiots.

What are you talking about, son. I have been a UK fan since 1965 when I was nine yrs old. What has that got to do with my logic that the NCAA would not and should not take into consideration that he was an earthquake survivor. What about those that survive the ghettos where the odds are helluva lot better of getting killed than an earthquake.

I was hoping he would be eligible, but your logic was just lame. I still stand by my logic until proven otherwise.
Skal Labissiere was on the 3rd story of a building that collapsed during the earthquake. He, his mother, and his brother had to be dug out of rubble. And 100 to 160 thousand people died during that earthquake.

You're a complete tool.

Words will not be able to describe just how pissed I will be if it's later revealed that Yahoo jumped the gun and they later rule Skal ineligible. If I missed anything I apologize, as I just got in. Any reason to doubt the report? Can we relax now?

Multiple sources confirming it, including SI.

Lol. Love the part about Tennessee. Was that before their 3rd hire in 5 years or during the cheats tenure? I mean, Tennessee having so much integrity and all + winning tradition, I can see where they're coming from. Wouldn't want To jeopardize such a fine program with a stud NBA prospect like Skal.

You could have relaxed before. There was never any doubt he'd be cleared, as several of us have said all along. And, yes, Parrish at CBS has confirmed the Yahoo report, as have others.

I was never one of the people on here freaking out over it. I figured he would likely be cleared, but I wouldn't have put it past the NCAA putting the screws to UK if they had found even an ounce of evidence.

I don't believe anyone really knew then. There was so much coming out, I just had no faith in anything I myself didn't know for sure.

And technically, the NCAA has now retroactively punished schools after multiple times through the clearing house. I don't believe that applies here though.

Just saying, I don't believe anyone could possibly say they knew for a fact he'd clear. Just my opinion of course.

What has that got to do with anything.

You're a complete tool. See how easy that is to be juvenile.

Think about this.....

Tyler Ulis
Isaiah Briscoe
Jamal Murray
Alex Poythress
Skal Labissiere

Bench
Mychal Mulder
Charles Mathews
Marcus Lee
Isaac Humphries

YEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!!
Cal said Hawkins was definitely in the rotation before the injury. Have to think once he gets back to 100% he'll be back in it unless someone passes him over.

Back to the top for some laughs...Check out the votes before they change

99% of these UK fans are very good posters and True Blue, couple are wishy washy.

Not surprised by rivals, wishful thinking.

No profile people are not surprising either.

Yeah but I don't see him playing too much man. Maybe 3-4 mins a game. We have 3 guys starting who can all run the point. Then 2 wings off the bench. I just don't see how he gets much time.

You are the one that was and is clueless. We knew Kanter had taken money, we also knew that Emmert knew when he was at Washington. When asked about Kanter's eligibility after receiving expense money from a pro team, Emmert said they anticipated no problem.

His parents went out of their way to ensure his eligibility remained intact for college ball in America. That was their plan all along. The extra money was kept in a separate account so it could be returned if necessary.

You voted NO because that's the type of person you are. Spineless. You hope to hedge your bet in case he is ruled ineligible for some bogus reason. Then you can come here and gloat. I think you suck. Vote on that.

The best response on Rafters I have ever seen. Bravo sir, bravo.

Doubt Hawk was ever or will be in the rotation this season.

Cal says this stuff every preseason - Willis and Hawk have to play....

Believe it more when he says he is going to 6-7 man rotation, no room for a Hawkins unless he goes 8-9 and a new guy isn't as good as we'd hope.
