Was he successful?CDS rolls on. Cal stunk it up the last several years and it was time to go, but he started trying to get UK players to come back the last few years and even said it.
Didn't Antonio try to leave?I don't think that's new for him. He was wanting NIL well before it was forced on the game. And he often cited it as a way to keep players in college. Oscar and Antonio being evidence
So he is self serving, at UK he could push them out the door, then say see how all these guys are going to the NBA and it is all because of me, now he can't recruit the same players he needs them to stay longer.
Kind of has to. He is not going to able to recruit at quite the same level he did here. He will be exposed if he doesn't have #1 or 2 classes yearly.

Snake oil salesmen is all he ever was and I knew it but at first wanted him here to get UK back to the top.... He got the big head thinking he was more important than UKBB.. He found out the fans were fed up with his crap... Now he can live in R Kansas,,,,
GBB
Yep, and press and platoon. He's probably going to run and play zone this year too.
Cal has always been vocal about hating the one and done rule. He has stated more than once that players having to stay multiple years would make his job easier and that kids should be able to go straight from HS
Walmart and Chicken Dude said keep it steady like we do. So he has to comply.
Not even if he was on fire….P_SS on Cow...
Yet many that badly wanted him gone bring him up every day. He must have took their heart with him to Fayetteville. Can’t do it - just can’t listen to him anymore. Maybe in the future but not now.
Even if you could piss napalm? Not even if he was on fire….
It's taken him 65 years to figure out that a team of almost all freshmen's ain't going to win. That's about how long it takes him to figure anything out. After all it took him 65 years to figure out to defend the other team's inbounds play under the other teams basket. Give him another 65 years and he might figure out how to keep his team from choking at tournament time every year. For a visionary who was always ahead of the curve he is vastly behind this one. 5 years too late and too late for him to catch up. His rosters at Arkansas will be far inferior to his talent he had at UK which he was unsuccessful with the past 5 years. Without talent cal is a sub .500 coach simply because he doesn’t know how too.
BOOM, could not have said it any better, you flat nailed it brother, guy is and has been a complete slimeball phonyYes he doesn’t have a choice. His entire coaching philosophy is make UK fans mad now. If Calipari isn’t selling out to allow players to shit on their program and run away when they please, he won’t get anyone. Nobody is going to play for Calipari to win basketball games, they play for him because he’s got no standard at all when it comes to traditional ways of operation. He’s the sell out guy, he’s the guy you play for to avoid accountability and standards.
So I hope he tries this. Can you see Calipari actually trying to recruit without the “im the sell out guy” tag? He won’t pull 3 stars lol.
Facts don''t sway the clowns. Many of the same one's said he'd bleed KY dry on the contact and leave us as Indiana.......lol. He left on his own and didn't cost us a penny. Those of us with a brain are ecstatic that he's gone, he didn't cost us anything and that we got Pope. Others are busy moving the goalpost for their next gripe, pining for stiffs like Oats, etc. They aren't happy unless they are fake outraging about something. #KarensCal has always been vocal about hating the one and done rule. He appears to be recruiting exactly like when he was at Kentucky lol . Pope is the one who is isn't going to be able to recruit to the level Cal did .Kind of has to. He is not going to able to recruit at quite the same level he did here. He will be exposed if he doesn't have #1 or 2 classes yearly.
His last 7 or 8 years of recruiting have not been good enough to win if he is the coach. He hasn't landed elite blue chippers consistently and when he has had uber talent he has choked worse than any coach in the country. He appears to be recruiting exactly like when he was at Kentucky lol . Pope is the one who is isn't going to be able to recruit to the level Cal did .
