Cal is so full of crap

People in this fanbase aren't able to be objective about the situation so I take anything anyone else says with a grain of salt. Cal would still be here if he was getting the support he felt was needed so if you asked Cal, one-on-one, privately why he left Kentucky, I'm sure that would be the #1 reason. He couldn't assemble the sort of team he has now at Arkansas here. it's not so much a philosophical change as much as a monetary one. More people will wake up to this eventually. I just had a head start.
You ever think that the reason Cal wan't getting the support he needed was because of Cal himself? you think maybe a long hard look in the mirror was due when the support waned? Cal was his own worst enemy.

That would be a plausible theory if, in fact, Mark Pope was receiving more support assembling his roster than Cal did assembling his.

Here is a quote about needing a new formula to win. I guess the Bennies were right Cal.

"The lesson was you can't do this now with seven freshmen," he said. "You just can't. You're going to hit a team that's 25 years old on average, one was 26, and that team is physically going to get you, and so now we have a couple transfers that are older, some kids that transferred from Kentucky that went through it, and they're a year older, and some freshmen."
So it's taken Calipari 65 years to figure this out. Seems about right, it took him 65 years to figure out how to defend the other team's in bounce play under their basket. SO GLAD HE'S GONE.

It seems that Cal needs a new formula to win 1 fu(&!ng game in either the SECT or the NCAAT

Doubt we ever hear Cal and dominating on any espn show the rest of our life. He may win 20 games because of schedule manipulations that can cupcake your way through a season. For the most part we should have a 30 win season before he does. Go Cats!!
He will get enough talent with a good NIL budget that he can win 28 games or so. At least once or twice while he is there. Like always they will have 10+ losses and will lose early in both tournaments. Calipari gets tight and reverts back to a style of play that doesn’t work anymore. I doubt Payne or Brad are gonna revolutionize his approach to the game. He also will end up playing 1-2 guys he has stayed with all year who don’t need to be on the court over the guys who actually produce and form their best lineups.

What was he saying to Lamb, if that's him? So glad he's gone now and we are very lucky that he left without causing hell.

What an ignorant take…. The team he had at arky now is mostly part of the team he would have had at UK.

He pissed off major donors that affected NIL.
[/QUOTE]

This didn’t happen overnight. And it wasn’t just NIL donors. The guy became abrasive over the years and it took his undoing at UK for him to take a look in the mirror. He was/is convinced that he is a great coach when he is not.

He will say what ever to hide that fact that he does not want to work as hard as he once did. He does not have the energy to go out and find/get 13 players or 12 so his new formula is 9 or actually 8 or 9 is what his original statement. He will have every excuse under the sun if a guy is injured or several are injured. Arky fans will get tired of the guy soon enough.
Yup, when you listen to him for 15 years you know how to translate this into " Now Iv already got a good excuse as a cushion for the disappointing results Ik ow are coming because I won't be teaching defense out on the floor either. I can only imagine some hush meetings he's had behind closed doors with high level players telling them to act injured to preserve their draft status when they're not even hurt at all. Where else does it take 8 months to heal a toe.

The case could be made that it’s going to be even more fun when you realize we didn’t.
Yeah cause we totally don’t know what a Calipari coached team looks like or how he recruits, or coaches in certain moments. We also have no clue the things he says in press conferences during each part of the season. Nope, not a clue. He has the exact same staff he’s always had except he lost another of his staple assistants, and his best hire since John Robic got his life destroyed(that’s the moment Cal was done BTW, he’s never replaced him.) He did add Brad Calipari though so I’m sure things will be a total 180 from how his Kentucky days were.

Wow I’m glad it took him 15 years to realize you can’t win with freshmen.

He had his job back.
He didn't believe he could get it done.
He got himself canned.
Freshman promises aint gettin it done.
If he takes 8 or 9 he has no shot.
He won 38 straight and said " I'll never do that again."
He's a stooge.
Pope is not a stooge. He's a very smart man.
$hit is looking up.
GBB
So glad Pope is here. He loves UK basketball as much as a member BBN. A complete turn around from Cal who couldn’t have cared less about our traditions and history.

Listening to Aaron Torres talk about what Cal said like it's a revelation. Saying he doesn't think Cal is speaking BS...boy, he doesn't know Cal.
Now that we have 15 years of solid education on the subject it's downright frightening how the media protects Cows image and he fools people so very very well. Poor hogs, they're going to be upset when they find out about the Calipari tater sack lunch he has for the Bennies.

Yes, the media is notoriously known for protecting Cal’s image. No coach has received more love from the media than Cal. That’s one thing I’m gonna miss is all the protection from the media.
