Sharpe Enrolled in Summer and Fall Classes

Many on here said to me early that he was for sure staying and anyone thinking otherwise was a hater. When he leaves I'm not looking them up and stalking them for being wrong.Only a pathetic loser would do that.
It’s not about the opinion if he stays or not. It’s about the name calling and the hatred shown to him. And his family. That is definitely accounted for

Here is the one FACT that everyone is dismissing in this Sharpe staying or Sharpe leaving for the pros.

John Vincent Calipari has only ONE hard and fast rule concerning players declaring for the draft.

Anyone know what that rule is?

Now what do you think the odds are that Cal, the most stubborn man on the planet, will suddenly change his mind and ignore his own rule???
The rule applies to top picks and for kids that need to help their family. There have been several he told to come back but they didn’t because they felt pressured to help their family.

Here's my question: do elite players even sign up for their own classes, and during the same window as students do? These players have everything arranged for them. I'd be surprised if it doesn't start with a student manager or whatever consulting with the players and then enrolling in classes for them. They very likely get first dibs and could in some instances be enrolled for multiple semesters. Wouldn't surprise me.
In my day you turned in a class list for a given semester. You got preference on scheduling.

Lol.

“So thanks to all of BBN. This has been, without pontification, the most stringent choice of my life. I WAS coming back as evident by my arduous Coursework for which I’ve signed, but my dreams, having surfaced to fruition, must be declared. I can’t believe I’m saying this, sigh, I’m taking my talents to the NBA”

Forever yours (unless you mean actually playing basketball for UK)

“Circumstances changed, ya know. I woke up this morning and went to mass, came back to the TV and, well I’ll just say wow. I mean wow. I was like is this guy a top 10 pick? And also Having never played minute of college ball? and so look
, it wasn’t planned. I know there’s a lot of people like get out but, and you guys know how this works. - - had some other things arise that (head goes sideways), but let’s just say he really does need to go on. (Rubs eye)I still like my team and wish Shaedon and his posse all the best.”

“that’s absolutely one of the most absolutely gorgeous, well thought, intelligent kids I’ve ever seen”.

These elite lottery picks being enrolled in anything at a university is a joke. I'm not saying it means he will or won't be back rather that him being enrolled is a formality, nothing more.

How much effort required to sign up for some classes? It isn't like a contract that will prevent him from doing whatever else he decides to do. I am sure Cal told him to do it so that fans will post about it.

Why would Cal intentionally be trying to get the fans' hopes up, if he knows we are just going to be let down? It'll only make it worse for him. That fraction of the argument makes no sense to me at all.

It's like if I knew I was going to breakup with a girl, but I intentionally made appointments to go look at engagement rings in the meantime. It will only make the breakup that much harder all for no reason.

Why do we have two threads on this? Do our mods do anything at this point? Are there any mods even left? [laughing]

There’s a rumor Jed was eaten ass first by a Jaguar. I’ve been telling everyone not only are Jaguars in Kentucky but they’re like lions in that they eat ass first. Poor Jed.

Believe with the right coaching we had the talent to make a run this year but only to the Sweet 16. That talent was also experienced as the only freshman we counted on was Ty Ty.. But we really had seven players in their 1st year at UK. For the past several years we have soured on the one and done players because they were freshman. Duke has been more successful but with Zion and crew they could not capture a title. I have been paying little attention to all the transfers that may come to UK for next season because CCC will still be at the helm and a program comprised of either 1st year freshman or 1st year experienced players does not a ”TEAM” make

Kansas had talent but nowhere near what Duke, UK, or Gonzaga had yet they won the championship. What they did have was experience. Some will argue that this crazy transfer portal will never allow teams to carry most of their roster intact the next year and that may be true. But Cal does not even try IMO. If you are not a 5-Star look elsewhere. I go back to the late 60’s when few transferred and no one went to the NBA. Those days are gone but what should our head coach be doing given today’s environment. I think the answer can be found with the 1998 championship Wildcats. That year we had players with various skills And they played well together. No superstars worrying about their draft status. Nazr and Jamaal had long NBA careers but they shared a position. Shep had a short time in the league but was a shooter, ball handler, and good rebounder. Who was more important than Wayne Turne?! Padgett, Edwards, and Mills were role players but each contributed with different skill sets and I would say without any one of these 3, we could not have won the title. That team meshed even with a new head coach. .CCC strives to collect the most talent(wingspan, vertical jump, athleticism) are the most important factors to him.
wow, if they can shoot, pass, dr
Next year will probably be similar to this year in that we will be a good SEC team, but not THE SEC team, make the tournament and win a game (hopefully) or two. Without Oscar, the season could be ugly. CCC will never change; little offensive scheme, no inbounds plays, stomping the floor and screaming GO and RUN everytime we get a defensive reboun Etc etc. So in my final (long winded analysis )I do not think it makes much difference who we pull in from the transfer portal. It will be a team of players in their first year who will not have time to gel in their 1-year stay. We need a new start with a new head coach and unless the Lakers or Knicks help us out, Cal is here to stay for a few more years and I could write this same post then and be fairly accurate

Sorry but if he does come back then that makes it even that much more wrong he sat his ass on the bench all year.

This is what people don’t understand who still refuse to accept it’s all bs.

If he can play a full season next year, why then couldn’t he play some last season? It makes absolutely no sense, and saying “he’s not ready to learn plays” is some mental gymnastics that I’ve only seen displayed on a network like CNN or here.
