SECT: The Cats could get to the No. 5 spot with a 2-0 record this week. The Cats could get to the No. 11 spot with an 0-2 record.

Sounds good to me, plus we have a chance to win a few games in Nashville instead of going home after one, but for me what really matters is getting out of the 1st weekend if the NCAA
That bracket as it stands would have us playing Auburn on Friday if we win on Thursday.

Winning one game in the SECT won't be a given, if we could manage two
we should have worse than a 4 seed in the NCAAT.

Planning on making the trip to Nashville. Not making reservations. Just going day by day. If they lose their first game, heading back home.
We’re going. We have had reservation for a year. I did just add Thursday since we had planned on going on Friday.

I’m not changing to Wednesday if we end up playing then.

When Oklahoma is your 14 seed and they go 13-0 out of conference with wins over Arizona, Michigan and Louisville................
Yep. Welcome to the hell that has been the SEC this year. All those that complained over the years about this being a football conference and that "no one cares about basketball enough here" Congrats. You got your wish.

If i never hear Jimmy Dykes utter a single word the rest of my life I’ll be happy. I used to love him but in a single season he has become completely intolerable.
Jimmy Dykes loves Cal and is in Hog Heaven with him being in Fayetteville. Conversely, he has no use for UK because we ran off his guy. Announcers just can’t let go of their personal biases.

Don't really care about the SECT with our injuries, just doesnt offer much for us.. at the absolute best case scenario, we win the whole thing and maybe we somehow make a 2-seed because of that (really think this has a 0% chance of happening.. at worst, all this does is just wear down our already gassed team and we sustain more injuries.

The second we are locked into a 3-seed, we could forfeit our next SECT game for all I care.

If you are bored here you go and want to see all the different ways it can play out. There is a chance Ole Miss, Kentucky, Miss State and Vandy all end up at 9-9 for the 7-10 seeds. If that happens Kentucky would be 8 seed (Miss State the 7 seed)

Too bad we couldn't have just found 1 more win (Texas or at Vandy)

Strange situation on how to root for these other teams that affect our seeding.

We want Miss State to lose a game but might need them to win a game to tie us at 9-9 if we lose to Missouri.

We want Ole Miss to maybe win a game because if they lose their last 2 and end up 9-9 they will drag us down in tie breakers and a team like Miss State can move ahead of us even though we beat them.

If we beat Missouri then we want Ole Miss to lose their last 2 but if we lose to Missouri we want them to win 1 of their last 2.

So ya.......no clue who to root for in these games until we know what we do vs Missouri. By then it be too late maybe.

I looked at that just today. Pretty cool.

I know some of you say “we have to beat Auburn either way”.
1) that assumes someone else doesn’t, which this year is a big assumption
2) I’m not sure how realistic, given our health, it is to win the SEC-T (which may be more difficult than winning the NCAA-T. Maybe a better goal is to pull off 1 more upset (over a top 4 seed) to move ourselves back on to the 3-seed line in the big one. Thus which of those top 4 seeds would we rather play?
