What in the world could you guys still be arguing about at this point? A quick glance and it’s like the same 6 posters for 95% of the posts the last 30 pages. Like isn’t everyone just repeating themselves at this point? Either it makes sense that there’s a god or it doesn’t. If it does then it’s easy to spin everything about god into a positive, likewise a negative if it doesn’t.
I'll look into that. Sounds interesting.Speaking of bringing harm to others, has anyone watched Shiny, Happy People on Prime? It's about the Duggars (TLC 19 Kids & Counting), and the cult/organization that backs them. It's a WEIRD-O-RAMA docuseries that shows how these monsters exploited the most vulnerable people for their own profit and desires.
Thanks for the hearty laugh!!!! You love to be the victim when you make ignorant comments and I won’t take that perception from you, except to laugh. 😂No thanks, that would mean I'd have to have more run ins with you. You've already stalked me enough for my liking
And you love to get the last word in every conversation so that you can feel like you won it. If that's not the case then PLEASE, prove me wrong and stop responding. You're welcome for the laugh thoughThanks for the hearty laugh!!!! You love to be the victim when you make ignorant comments and I won’t take that perception from you, except to laugh. 😂
I continue to visit this thread because I find it endlessly fascinating, and entertaining, to pick the brains of believers. I’m amazed that in the modern era that there are grown, educated adults that think ancient fairy tales are real. They seem to find logic in the illogical. They can make sense out of nonsense. They can self-delude to the point that they honestly think they have a personal “relationship” with a fictional character. They can gloss over the numerous stories of genocide, rape, torture, death, misogyny and slavery, and somehow think that collection of stories can be their personal moral compass. They can participate in what I view as a death cult, with pretend cannibalism, worshipping a dead guy, claiming to be washed in the blood of a dead guy, and looking forward to death so they can join the dead guy, all without it seeming the least bit weird.
And I find myself torn, daily, between thinking it is hilariously funny, and feeling really and truly sorry for them.
So, yeah, I’ll keep visiting every day until the thread is locked or taken down.
They did this study about people who argue on the internet (like political arguments, religious, etc) and found that they actually make themselves more depressed and agitated in real life, contributing to depression depending on how often they do it. Enjoy!
I guess I’m an exception to the rule, ‘cause I’m about the most laid back and happy dude you’d ever wanna meet. 😆
What a loser, you just can’t help yourself. I appreciate that you proved me right though. “God” blessWord
I like to keep things interesting and I think he does too.Yes, your God is capable of preventing these things, and chooses not too. And you believers bend over backwards to justify it!
It’s a little ironic someone researching something they don’t believe in so much. Could you imagine researching Santa or the Easter Bunny. If real.....
Jesus is a bastard.
According to the bible is ineligible for admittance into heaven.
Deuteronomy 23:2
2 “No one born of a forbidden union may enter the assembly of the Lord. Even to the tenth generation, none of his descendants may enter the assembly of the Lord.

Was that you Ohio, that said something like....?
How funny it would be if Caveman's great great grandma Batsheva Caveman stepped out on great great grandpa Jedidiah Caveman....Thus disqualifying Caveman Catfan from heaven on a technicality. Priceless

Again, was their decision based on their extensive knowledge about life? Or you manipulating their reasoning....at 8 years old.
Nice deflection.....Manipulating my children? Are you serious dude?? That is some weird questioning, even for an atheist.
Dummy says he wants honesty. He probably really believes that.Nice deflection.....
Will you reflect and answer the question honestly?
I have been reading the Bible to my children since they were 4. They came to me and said they wanted to accept Jesus as their Savior. Let me repeat. They came to me on their own volition, which is exactly how it works when accepting Jesus as your Savior. No pressure, no coercion, no controlling, no deception.Nice deflection.....
Will you reflect and answer the question honestly?
The devil says yes.Probably the biggest question human beings have ever asked …
One of the most striking things about the whole God/Christian argument is how truly nonsensical it is at ever every level. There is NEVER any kind of logical answer for whether this God is involved, or not involved in our daily lives, or to what extent he chooses to insert himself. The is idea that God should stop tragedy, or tragedy in the life of a 10 year-old comes from the imaginations of people and not from the Bible. While God can take bad and use it for good, the Bible does not inform that bad things don’t happen to good or innocent people. Quite the contrary.
Truly striking. And, triggering. All that and a Bible challenge? Wow.One of the most striking things about the whole God/Christian argument is how truly nonsensical it is at ever every level. There is NEVER any kind of logical answer for whether this God is involved, or not involved in our daily lives, or to what extent he chooses to insert himself.
If a man's son survives testicular cancer, it's because "God is great and loving". Six million Jews are gassed, shot, stabbed, tortured to death, and God sits on the sidelines for that one.
A multi-millionaire scores a touchdown during an NFL game and he gets down on his knee and points his finger to the sky to thank/praise God. Thousands of kids starve to death in Africa, and well you know,...can't be helped. As a side note, the multi-millionaires, (or the Roman Catholic/Mormon take your pick) churches could end all that poverty and suffering today, but you know, people need those billions for something really important.
You're sleepy from working overtime the day before and you barely avoid a serious wreck, so "God is looking out for you." Our ten year old girl is pinned by a drunk driver and .."well, free will is a b*tch*.
And of course..the ever popular praising God for the weather on "this beautiful Lords day", but when thousands die in a Tsunami-welp, "God sends rain to the just and the unjust".
I mean I could go on. I've heard them all, I've even prayed them all. I HAVE read the Bible and I'll stack my Biblical knowledge against any believer I've seen on this thread. When the pretzel logic is twisted into so many contortions, it can't be manipulated anymore, there is always "Who can understand the mind of God?" or my favorite "God works in mysterious ways. I wish we could just pick a choice..he's either involved or not.
So you have been manipulating them since they were 4. If you were reading them a Satanic bible, would they commit their lives to Satan? YesI have been reading the Bible to my children since they were 4. They came to me and said they wanted to accept Jesus as their Savior. Let me repeat. They came to me on their own volition, which is exactly how it works when accepting Jesus as your Savior. No pressure, no coercion, no controlling, no deception.
I thought atheists didn't care if people were believers? Right, isn't that what has been said over and over in this thread? Just don't shove it down our throats and make us believe has been the common refrain.
And now, I tell how my children came to Christ in faith, and I am asked if I am manipulating their reasoning. You are sick dude.
Well I certainly didn't ask honesty from you. You have proven to be the most dishonest in this thread.Dummy says he wants honesty. He probably really believes that.
And of course there is always Caveman with the intelligent, well thought out response....a laughing emoji. One of the most striking things about the whole God/Christian argument is how truly nonsensical it is at ever every level. I answered, and very clearly, so I am sorry if it went over your head.So you have been manipulating them since they were 4. If you were reading them a Satanic bible, would they commit their lives to Satan? Yes
I don't care, you can indoctrinate your children how you wish. Replenishing the herd is always welcomed by the church.
What part of anything I've said makes me sick? And you still refuse to answer the question. Perhaps you should google the word ...manipulate.
Praying is the ultimate do-nothing gesture. To the atheists in this thread, I hope and pray you will find the Truth in Jesus' work on the cross. I enjoyed the conversation/debates (at least those that were done in good faith). God Bless!
ma·nip·u·la·tionI answered, and very clearly, so I am sorry if it went over your head.
I also included a reference to what manipulation means, but that obviously went over your head too.
I think my time in this thread has run its course. Best of luck to my fellow believers who wish to continue on.

1.
the action of manipulating something in a skillful manner.
2.
the action of manipulating someone in a clever or unscrupulous way.
Because I suggested you manipulate your children. You claim I'm sick.
The best decision you have made is to run from this thread. Christianity has taken a beating here in the Paddock, as of late....God Bless!
I'll check it out. There was no one being made fun of in Shiney, Happy People. Just sad, sordid and infuriating how these monsters treated these people.I'll look into that. Sounds interesting.
Check out The Righteous Gemstones on HBO. Danny McBride's show making fun of those mega church pastors like Osteen.
Gotta get'em while they are young. I've read somewhere like 4 years old....I'll check it out. There was no one being made fun of in Shiney, Happy People. Just sad, sordid and infuriating how these monsters treated these people.
When I was 8 (and younger) I didn't buy into any of those tales any more than I believed that George Reeves Superman character could fly or had x-ray vision. You’re supposed to take it on “faith” that a pair of 8 year olds asked to accept a fictional character from a collection of ancient tales to be their savior and overlord. With absolutely no outside prompting, coercion or subtle suggestions (except for the 4 years of forced bible readings and once a week church services). Nothing at all fishy about it!
Just watched the entire four part series of Shiny Happy People. Absolutely shocking.I'll check it out. There was no one being made fun of in Shiney, Happy People. Just sad, sordid and infuriating how these monsters treated these people.
Striking enough that I'm going to guess you don't have any answer to it.Truly striking. And, triggering. All that and a Bible challenge? Wow.

The Bible says we're "conceived in sin" even though copulation is a perfectly natural part of the reproductive process necessary to sustain most life on the planet.. So you're a. filthy sinner right from the get go-even in the womb. No such thing as innocent life. Of course,2 “No one born of a forbidden union may enter the assembly of the Lord. Even to the tenth generation, none of his descendants may enter the assembly of the Lord.
